Recreating my favorite 18th Century museum gown as a modern spring dress (Part 1: Pattern Making)

- Hey! Intimidated by math? Good news, turns out you need very little to pattern an 18th century bodice. I used a simple formula to draft a basic curve of my body, and after that, it was all done through trial and error. This video is a part 1 of 2. Making the dress, I wound up with a lot of useful, interesting footage, and I didn’t want to skimp on anything good. So I split the project into two videos. This one focuses on the original dress I was basing my pattern on, and the complete patterning process. The follow-up will be published next Saturday, and will cover the custom printed fabric, the sewing process, and the final result.
