I don’t know if this is a joke or not but quick reminder. The bell is a sort of reminder that it’s that time, like a sign for the teachers when either they are distracted teaching or looking at you guys. Since sometimes some of my teachers look on their phone or wristwatch for the time.

9:35 I had a hole in my knee (with pebbles in it) from falling during netball and the teacher wanted me to WALK across the whole campus to get to the first aider when they have a radio to call them to the student 😭 ended up with one wipe to clean the stream of blood and a finger plaster that didn’t cover the hole and ended up in a&e for 8 hours 🥰 not to mention, they also tried to get me to help out when I had a note?? oh, but the real icing... my head of house found out what happened and the next week the teacher had “resigned” 😭😂

One time I fell asleep in class and my teacher hit me on the head with a rolled my piece of paper. The worst part? It was my least favorite strict teacher and everyone kept staring at me. I’ve never fallen asleep in class, ever. I’m my whole life. Imprinted in my head as the one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.
i wish teachers didn’t feel the need to humiliate and embarrass every student that does something not perfectly to their level of acceptance. u probably didn’t sleep well that night and your body was just trying to get the full level of sleep it needs to help you feel energized but of course teachers always ruin everything

When I don’t sleep well I usually power through school some way. But at that moment I had just eaten lunch and we were doing a very boring independent assignment where the guy on the video was sooo boring and my head just drooped down until I closed my eyes and lost sense of my surroundings.
My teacher put an electric sharpener near this kid’s ear, and sharpened a pencil to wake him up, and a few times we all clapped near him, but I don’t think it was mean, that kid was always sleeping, not paying attention, always being distracted and acted up a lot, so it was expected that my teacher would just lose his patience and wake him up in the most ridiculous ways 😃

@@solong_abigail Yeah my friend is one of those kids and he always falls asleep in the same class and it’s small so the teacher and the rest of the class figure out ways to wake him up. But that’s one of my chill teachers. The teacher I had at that moment was my science teacher. The worst part is is that she’s shorted that all of us so how are we supposed to be intimidated? Ughh I’m getting embarrassed just thinking about it.
Stuff like that is actually normal in conservative schools like in Mexico Cubs or Spain... you get hit for doing something wrong 😳

So basically last year, i tripped in P.E and injured myself, my foot was LITERALLY purple/blue-ish. I couldn’t walk so someone went to help the teacher who later helped me go to the nurse. The nurse told my friend to go back to class so she did, she examined my foot and said it’s totally fine and there’s nothing wrong with it. She gave me an ice-pack and told me to go back to P.E and continue the lesson, WE WERE DOING ATHLETICS THAT DAY AND WE HAD TO DO A 500M RUN! After school, my foot was hurting me so much so I showed my mom and she took me to the doctors, they examined it and told me that I have torn my ligaments, I had to wear a boot for around 2 weeks, it was so painful.

1:38 When I was doing high school Chemistry (AP/A levels equivalent - the hardest academic pathway), I had to watch these videos before each new syllabus point was being taught in class. The guy talked too slow, so I increased the speed to x2; still distinguishable. So, my tip, most videos will have the ability to increase the speed. If you're proficient enough in whatever language the class/video is taught in, give it a try. Saved me so much time. No one remembers on the first listen if you're dreading having to listen to the video anyway, so as long as you go over the notes you take and can understand them, you're actually probably doing better than just watching the video and then writing the information down; not actually saving anything to short-term memory.
