Gorgeous performance. Perfect integration of hoop and dancer. The hoop is neither the star of nor incidental to the dance. The considerations of light and costuming...all very well done.
Wow... Please share your talent with as many people as possible. Teach those willing and dedicated enough to be focused as you are. That's so impressive. Also, I'd be lying if I didn't say the shocking red hair didn't help. Great look. If I'm ever in Montreal I'll try to catch a show of yours.
Reasoning: Having a continuous motion gives the illusion that the hoop is alive, any stop or pause in its movement breaks that. This can apply to any object, really. Once the transcendence from an static object to a "living" partner occurs, magic happens :)
this is probably the most powerful, seductive, and effortless hoop performances I have ever seen. so fluid and just fucking beautiful. thank you for the inspiration.
I totally love your attitude, the way you move, the hair... A couple of questions: * What size hoop do you use ? What is it covered in ? * What was the inspiration for the way you move here ? * Do you have a blog ? * You remind me of Zoetica Ebb...
Oh... You know when you see a performance so good you have nothing to compare it to, I'm kinda in those shoes right now. Amazing, next step, on fire, right?
I don't know how anyone could 'dislike' this lol It looks like awesome fun, it's a great workout and i can't wait to order my hula hoop, not that i'll ever be able to do the things these people can! lol
You have some fantastic skill and great use of music (can't go wrong with Disco Science!) but I'd think there is room for improvement in terms of creating smoother transitions between each segment to retain that "motion". Once you get that done pat you could toy with lighting, possibly black lighting or strobe effects to create really different and bizarre effects to expand your horizon. Keep up the great work and persevere :)
That move at 1:24! How is it done?! Whenever I try I can only get it around once, and even then it's not very fluid... You're amazing, I love your style so much (:
@amcfinnigan no, hula hooping is a flow art like poi...many people see hula hoops as a toy, which it is if you're buying it from your local store--but the hoops that woman's using are definitely not just toys as you can see.
