South Africa: The struggle of Denis Goldberg against the apartheid (Documentary, 2010)

Nelson Mandela's long struggle against the apartheid in South Africa is legendary. In Mandela's shadow there is one of his most loyal fellow freedom fighters - a white South African.
The film portrays the life of the freedom fighter Denis Goldberg.
He was imprisoned for 22 years, but Goldberg triumphed over prison and went into exile in England. The now 80 year old ANC veteran lives in his hometown Cape Town.

I had met Mr Goldberg about 10 years ago while working in Hout Bay. He was a very humble and kind person which is why I still remember him so clearly. I had absolutely no idea of his history and I saw the news of his passing on the news. I thought why would that be on the news and I googled him. Wow, I had no idea... I feel so ignorant
