Andy, First off is it available? Second is ,is the slab a bad idea in Maine? Cold? How much for a metal roof of that SQ ft? Seems like good elevation. How is the septic system? Concrete?
We are all half Canadian anyway, Dad's Mom 100% red maple leaf. This is the 8th largest lake so wet the line on this side of the jagged boundary is my advice. Or better not get caught. Border Patrol and inland fisheries and wildlife wardens on the local lakes!
Most definitely need a Canadian license to fish Canadian waters. Also need to notify Canadian authorities if you intend on crossing international border into Canada to fish. Not sure of the present situation with Covid if you are even able to do this. We vacationed for years on the NY/Canadian border and in those days prior to GPS it was extremely difficult to precisely determine the border alignment. So we generally stayed.at least 100 yards away. Numerous stories from the guides in that region of Canadian authorities arresting fishermen and confiscating boat, motor, and gear for inadvertently crossing into Canadian waters. New York on the other hand just wrote a ticket for Canadian violators. This was in the 60s and 70s so not sure if it applies anymore. Best to get the most up to date rules and regs but u don't want to skirt these regulations.
This is a nice location, what type of hardwood did ya scout out there Andy, I think I saw some rock maple, there's probably some poplar too, my family owned 68 acres over in Bridgewater years ago, how far is this from there?

Bridgewater is 22 miles from Houlton. Mt Chase is 35 miles SW of Houlton.
