Snorkeling was number one on my list back in the middle of May when we were there. I brought my own gear, and had my underwater camera ready to go!! Then the tropical depression (I think his name was Antonio) formed right over us. Thanks to Antonio, the ocean was extremely rough, with red flags flying our entire vacation. To those that get the chance to enjoy the beautiful water and marine life at Club Med, take advantage and enjoy!! I'm totally jealous!
@@theot8974 I'm actually not a snorkeling instructor, so I'm afraid I wouldn't be the best person to help you with this. Haha! And it's actually snowing where I live right now so the only gear I'll wear in the next few months will probably be ski gear! haha
It's just for safety reasons, since there are some areas where the water is deeper. And it's also more comfortable... You can float around without effort, and make sure you don't graze the reef with your fins accidentally. ;)
Mineral reef-safe sunscreens? Because I have literally burned in the shade before... Also I thought this was just going to be bad with here is another random company putting up a TH-cam video. But it was amazingly, deliberately good campy and legitimately kind of funny. I'm not sure how much this helped me with the tips I was looking for... Like what how it works in the water tips but still definitely enjoyable video.
Safety is of course important. However, permit me to give you an example when I would consider it going too far. A number of years ago, in about 15 feet of water at Club Med Eleuthra, another couple and I discovered a grouper... totally unafraid, we were able to get failrly close. Under these new guidelines..we all would have been in trouble.

Oh no!! So sorry to hear that! Hopefully, you can come back soon and give it another try. :)
I like your style
Thanks for the tips and added humour😀
Haha, you’re welcome! 😉
Brilliant thanks 👌
Glad it helped!
@@JessLaventure you made it really fun to watch.
Good! That was the whole point. ☺️ Now all that’s left to do is to jump in! Let me know how it goes. 🐠
Would we have to go in the deep water
As you wish! You decide where you want to snorkel, but you can stay in waist-high water if you want.
I have a question can you bring your own gear
I don't work there anymore, but people could absolutely bring their own gear. I'm sure it's still the same now! :)
@@JessLaventure any tips in a lake because I live by a lake and I just got snorkeling gear this Christmas but I guess I have to wait sence it’s winter

Do you wear wetsuit and snorkeling gloves and dive boots and dive fins dive mask and snorkel
Wow Jessica super présentation en anglais et j'ai vraiment adoré
Merci Maxime! Je publierai la version française d'içi lundi... ;)
Jessica Laventure ok Jessica parfait
Cute presentation as always. What is it with the life preserver? Started snorkeling at Club Med in Hawaii back in 1976...never had to wear one before.

This viseo couldnt be more perfect lol
Glad you liked it! :)
I think I will see another one

Thanks for your comment ! :) Yes, I'm guessing reef-safe sunscreen would be OK, or a long-sleeved rash guard, which is what I go with. :)
