Absolutely fantastic! No doubt a tad bothersome at the time but in hindsight--priceless! What a wonderful, natural, kind, and unsnobby man of the people he was. Flirting with the females of all ages (and how I wish I had been one of them!) And so handsome! Held his drink well, too, hahaha! Oh, Lewis, how I wish you were still with us; thank you for the joy you brought.
Growing up i wanted to be Lewis Collins even more when i found out he was from Birkenhead. Sad he never got to play Bond. What a fabulous gentleman and actor.
Well, well, i must say that on the practical side, i was rather distressed that it needed so many takes, but as a fan of Lewis' its super duper super dee duper to see him laughing and smiling so much. He is gorgeous!
I'm on my knees. Thank you so much for sharing. Must laugh out loud. Think all people there have much fun with Lew. If you have anything more of him, please share with us Lewis Fans.
This is fantastic! What a laugh! Heavens only knows how you got it finished with Lew getting the giggles every minute and seemingly setting off everyone he spoke to. As a Lew/Bodie fan, I thank you for sharing.
I thought hoping for some Bodie era outtakes was the stuff of dreams, then I saw this!! I laughed; I cried...laughing! I swooned! Oh what a treasure!! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! :)
it doesn`t matter where or when.. I LOVE it!!!! Thanks once again. MACKENZIEROUGHT!!!! Lew is brilliant. And YOU did a great job here. We Lew fans are on our knees and Thank you !! ;)
Absolutely great piece of footage, I loved the professionals as a kid in the 70s/ 80s and like most girls of my age at that time fell in love with Bodie. Never seen this footage it was great to watch. myself and my dad always thought he would have made a great James bond he had everything required to make a great bond. So sad that he has passed. One of my favourite actors appeared in the professionals last episode called NO STONE it was the lovely Michael Praed who went on to play Robin in Robin of Sherwood.
I'm guessing this must have been filmed round the beginnings of the Falklands Conflict. Lewis is looking into the skies at a Harrier and seems mesmerized by the sight of it. A Scottish voice is heard stating, "We've tested lots of fun kit", to which Lewis nods and says.."Since erm". He is most likely keeping it under his helmet as a SAS reserve he knows the drill.
Ive loved watching this (so far about half a dozen times lol) I'd love to see the bits ye cut out haha. Wish I'd met lewis he seems like a really lovely fella with my kind of sense of humour (being from Birkenhead too think its a given thing) But I was a kid & didn't appreciate him as I do now Thank you for sharing this, it must be a lovely memory to have. RIP Lewis, you won't ever be forgotten
Que tipo divino , todo Lewis es perfecto, ...no se puede creer la simpatía ,la belleza y la fama en un ser humano tan dulce, no hay nadie como él.. amor absoluto por Bodie, amadisimo Lewis Collins.
The interview was very silly, Lewis had been out for a drink with that Guy the night before and we all just lost it Ha, Ha, The sergeant who was watching us shoot it was not very impressed, it must have taken about 20 mins to shoot that short bit. Lewis was great fun to work with.
I reckon that after The Pros ended, Lew should have done a laddish sitcom shown after 9pm on ITV. That would have suited him well on the strength of this lol.
Agreed, finnhere2, definitely more of the Bodie look but you can see that the vid was made in April 82 which was after filming started on Who Dares Wins. Interesting!
That was his name, Skellen. It is obvious this was 1982 because in the final 1981 filmed Pros eps, Bodie looked a bit bigger whereas in WDW, Skellen was leaner and he does look leaner here too. Over in the UK, the final series of The Pros wasn't premiered until November 1982 after this video was filmed.
Ah ok! As a "bloody foreigner" I wasn't learned enough to notice that. Well, maybe Lew did that on purpose. I'd like to see the "intakes" too, as these outtakes are so hilarious! Lew must have managed to keep a straight face (at least momentarily) at some point. Or...???
Have you any idea how many Lewis Collins fans will love you forever for this vid?!!! It's fantastic!!
The one who wasn't a luvvie proving that he was a sweetie!

This video is great it gives such a good insight into lewis personality he was such a nice bloke and is sadly no longer with us 😢
Thanks, bless him he was great fun to work with.
Growing up i wanted to be Lewis Collins even more when i found out he was from Birkenhead. Sad he never got to play Bond. What a fabulous gentleman and actor.
He was my role model too. A man's man, tough, yet with that happy smile. God bless you Bodie
I heard his Bond audition didn't go down too well with Cubby Broccoli.
Such a shame. He was perfect for 007, especially after Who Dares Wins
Well, well, i must say that on the practical side, i was rather distressed that it needed so many takes, but as a fan of Lewis' its super duper super dee duper to see him laughing and smiling so much. He is gorgeous!
I was the district manager! It was a laugh a minute! It took us hours and we only had about four lines to say.
Did you have fun ❓
Bodie and a fit of the giggles, what an irresistible combination. Thanks
I'm on my knees. Thank you so much for sharing. Must laugh out loud. Think all people there have much fun with Lew. If you have anything more of him, please share with us Lewis Fans.

This never fails to crack me up.... even though I've been sobbing like a baby over Lew...brilliant film!!!

I love watching this, it tkes me back to happy times. Who owned the Vauxhall Senator?
I reckon that after The Pros ended, Lew should have done a laddish sitcom shown after 9pm on ITV. That would have suited him well on the strength of this lol.
Back in my Navy Days we always said that NAAFI really stood for "No Ability And F all Interest" LOL
Agreed, finnhere2, definitely more of the Bodie look but you can see that the vid was made in April 82 which was after filming started on Who Dares Wins. Interesting!

Hi Glynn,
Great to hear from you, yes what fun, I thought that we would never get it shot! Are you still working at The NAAFI?
Regards,
Ian.

R.I.P Lewis Collins I would of loved to get your Autograph which I sadly missed
Where is Martin? Was it beneath him
Ha, Ha, maybe.
Think it was a side projekt and Martin didnt enjoy it as much
This would have probably been after Lewis filmed Who Dares Wins. :)
I think he likes the naughty bits with how they are financed!
Capri 😊
Not Allistair, he uses my computer, but GLYNN
What Vauxhall is Bodie Driving?
It was a Vauxhall cavalier coupe owned by the Guy who hired me to film it, Lewis turned up on location in a clapped out Renault 5.
@@mackenzierough It was a Vauxhall Royale Coupe, Uk's version of the Opel Monza. Just in case it was important!. Great video. :-)
Yes, I think that you are right.
Did they really laugh that much? How long did you take to get it totally completed?
1:46? 🤔
How did he ..take time out..😮????..just kidding 😮😅!!!! A TRUE ARTIST😊
hee hee It was worth asking ;)
Ah ok! As a "bloody foreigner" I wasn't learned enough to notice that. Well, maybe Lew did that on purpose. I'd like to see the "intakes" too, as these outtakes are so hilarious! Lew must have managed to keep a straight face (at least momentarily) at some point. Or...???
Did you see the look on the WRAC's face, she would have eaten Lewis alive
Sorry but that's the The lot, Nod, Nod.
And wheres the Capri
No Capri, very small budget on this video!
Small budget video so we had to use what we had!
Oh ok i see i do love the theme at the start do u have it love listening to it. Great video .
Thank you, it was great fun to shoot.
Mackenzie Rough do you have the theme tune somewhere i can listen to it the full version sounds great
He he This is hullarius ...
Yes we did have a laugh!
For me, he looks more Bodie than Skellen (was it Skellen?) hair, eyebrows, and he appears thinner than Skellen. Or then he's done that deliberately ;)
soooooooo funny i just left the naafi after 10 years
Wtf ...
