I somehow always enjoy this episode, despite all the missing elements of quintessential Miami Vice. EJO was always on another level than any other cast member. 😎
Good acting from Michael Talbott. He shows that Switek is not suitable for undercover work in the first row. Switek is the perfect surveillance detective and this kind of work is not what he likes.
Puny revolver is more suited for close quarters and less likely to get a rickorshe!! A retired sergeant explained that to me!! Remember Tubbs was from New York and that is why this character used a puny gun!!
Since when is Switek squeamish? And he's acting weird with that phone call and lies to Tubbs and says it was to his girlfriend. Too bad Crockett's up in Pompano at the moment.

Lt. Castillo should have had a spin off to this series.

Yeah, Switek had to slick his hair back and wear a suit - definitely not his style.
Switek went undercover in Back In The World (Season 2 - 1985.)

What's with " Tubb's" puny revolver ? It's more suited to be a back up piece rather than the primary weapon .
That's because his shotgun should be a primary. However it's almost disappear since Season 3.

Ah the days before Social media and Smartphones, when word of mouth was what made or broke a show.
We went to high school every week and talked about each episode!
What was the device he was using where he puts a coin in and punching the keypad???🤓
A pay phone.

Laughably bad.
What was bad about this scene?
