The score keeper literally had only ONE JOB, to push a button to add points and he miserably failed to do that job. He needs to be fired and replaced by someone that knows how to push a button that adds points to a wrestler.
Still happens a year later, let me keep score. Pretty sure any of us can do better. Actually we all could, not freaking rocket science for someone who knows wrestling.
Yes, I’m commenting after the Midlands. This match isn’t that much different except Lee got off to a great start. Lee is by far the best wrestler at his weight class when he is at his peak. However, he has shown himself to not have the necessary stamina to perform at the same level all three periods. I understand guys like him weren’t challenged in high school and won most of their matches in the first period or coasted through two or three periods if necessary. But every top level college wrestler dealt with that same thing. Lee has to correct this part of his wrestling. I usually don’t like college wrestling because it’s always a tactical battle, but this kid is different; that’s why everyone loves him. He makes the sport fun, but he may need to dial it back during the first period, so he can better pace himself.
seyfore That’s really the only high-stake , competitive match I’ve seen him wrestle that well all three periods. While it may have been that he was dialed in for the NCAAs, it’s also possible that the fact Suriano isn’t an aggressive attacker helped Lee.
DJ Adriaanse not wrestling like that. Big fan of Lee. Not a hater in the slightest. But has to continue to be consistently good. He might have been in some pain or sobe thing but the way he finished the natch was terrible. I'm sure coach brands would agree
YestwentyFOUR Wins I believe somethings wrong with his right knee again....I'm 52, and have had 14 knee surgeries with double knee replacement. Watch how he kneels down at the beginning of the 2nd period...he's timid, and that means pain...damn it....yeah, just saw the ending...he's done something else to that damned knee again.
here after lee lost to rivera 7-3
Axel82 same
Same i had to see where lee went wrong
same lol
he needs to keep his face outta the mat on bottom. Honestly he had no sense of urgency at all
Yup! Lol
Spencer Freakin Lee Rules...
Spencer's game plan. Score early and stall out the rest of the match
Nice job with the score
44ashton44 I know right
😂

Obviously...the Scorekeeper is both slow, and asleep...
pretty sure the dual meet was on a Sunday morning so he/she must of been been drinking the night before

The score keepers was making me mad

Facts
Interesting enough he looked like he had all stamina against nick suriano in the finals

Steeve Cantave that’s exactly right
Lol here after lee became a 3X NCAA Champ with no acls. It think it’s going pretty good
he looks injured...
Yeah something seemed off
He is injured...
Good scramble
At the time the only kid to not get teaches by Lee and then becomes the kid who beats him twice
Riberia. looked alot lot more active..
I wish Lee moved up. All the best comp is up a weight. 125 is thin.
john doe so true!!!
Wow
how hard is it to keep score when all you have to do is keep score
I hate four point tilts. I do not like the rule change. Should go back to 2 and 3 points for back points like in high school.
Wolf yea 4 points is too rewarding
Lee's gonna come back at him this year...Big 10s, the dual, and NCAAs.
spencer should be 1

He has to beat suriano first which I highly doubt
I agree. He needs to keep pushing throughout the match. It looks like he's giving up. Don't like it. I have a very high opinion of Spencer.
