I just wanna say that I chose not to take the ACT because I thought the SAT was easier. For me that was not the case, I took the ACT and although they give you less time, it is waaaaaaaaaay easier than the SAT. I’m not kidding like one English question was basically just looking at the text for the answer. The SAT tries to trick you whereas the ACT is very straightforward and you either know what you’re doing or you’re not. (Ik you already mentioned this but I just wanna give my perspective in case anyone wants to see what everyone else thinks :) ) Update: I took the SAT again and it seemed easier, so ig its just cus I’ve been studying more. I still think the ACT is easier though.
So in a way, if I prep for the SAT, I can pass my SAT but also can try to take the ACT with less prep and score well, right? just bc I want to have my sat, but if I still have time I'd like to try and take the act too, and i think in this order, I'll have to prep for maths only to take the act later you know what, just ignore this comment, I realized I just vocalized my decision-making process and it wasn't really something directed to you to answer. and thank you for your comment, as you can see, it was quite crucial for me to set myself, after spending the past five hours chacking comparison videos of both tests.
@@tasialockhart3316 my school only offers sat and just signed me up for it . I ask about act. And like they legit didn’t do anything, I’m not sure about booking tests outside my school lol

I completely bs’ed my sophomore year, so I ended up with a ~3.3 GPA. 😭( not that bad considering I took 3 AP’s/honors/pre-ib igs). I’m starting the IB program my junior year, so I’m planning to study starting this month for the SAT while also studying for the ACT, so I can also focus on bringing my gpa up. I’m also going to be apart of clubs (NHS, speech and debate club, etc) so junior year is going to be craZ crazy😢
2021 I'm finally in Junior and I didn't know which one is best for me SAT or ACT but after watching this video I think ACT is the best for me. Thank You so much for making this video.
OMG YESSS . Like I thought I was strong in reading till I got to the sat I was like wtf is this like i was struggling to comprehend I did better in math then reading
To generally test your abilities which you have acquired throughout high school and to hopefully predict on a numerical scale how well prepared you are for college. Taking them sucks, I know, but they are a necessary evil.
Joe Bob but some ppl are bad at taking tests. i dont thhink they should be banned but i also think there should be another option.in order for it to be a good indicator, it should be fair to everyone.
ACT and SAT they exist bc they want to know what you learned in high school and if you're ready for collage I know taking test sucks but it is what it is
I was studying for the SAT and then I moved schools and now I have to take the ACT my junior year. Great! Thanks for some insight of both tests though.
I am stronger at math, but weaker at reading. The ACT reading is easier right? Would you recommend me to take the ACT? However, the SAT is better for math, because it counts for 50% of the grade.
thanks a lot! I guess I'll go with the ACT, cuz I'll be able to convert the score to mн country's end-of-school test score so that I won't have to take it, sad that sat subject was removed

I cant seem to get past the 20s in the math/science section
Heyy im an international student and just wanna know.. does ivy league schools require sat subject test after you take the act? (i know someone who goes to harvard and he said i took the act and sat subject math2 and physics) pls answerr i really need it
"For students who choose to submit standardized tests, we require standardized test scores from either the SAT or ACT (with or without writing) and strongly recommend that you submit two SAT Subject Tests in addition" The quote from Harvard's website so whether you take SAT or ACT, subject tests are strongly recommend
Shelby For the SAT, I used the official SAT study guide and thought it was pretty good. It has 8 official practice tests + a little bit of review. You can find it on amazon (it’s blue and white). For the ACT, I actually didn’t use a book. I used free ACT tests, which you can find on prep scholar’s website. For more general review, I know a lot of people like Barron’s study books, but I personally prefer Princeton Review books better. PR has better explanations, but the tests can be a little easier than irl so just keep that in mind. You can find both of those on amazon as well :)

The SAT math is easier, but its READING section is a whole other level. Lol, the justifying quotes questions always get to me, there's so many too! 😂🤣

Why is it that I'm so good at maths but I get bad marks on my tests
the act math isnt harder its just more obscure/wacky topics. If you are willing to learn the weird ass problems I actually found it easier
l agree!
I have more experience with the ACT than I do with the SAT, but I think the SAT will work out better for me.
Anitej Akella good luck on whichever you test you take 😃

i’ve found that the sat is more math oriented while the act is better for people (like me) who doesn’t like math
Isnt it the opposite
@@ne-v-potoke I mean on the SAT math is 50% of the score while on the ACT math is 25% of your score

the sat has the sciences to its included in sat 2 and each science subject is tested out of 800

Hello Joy, how are you doing ? Just wondering, what did you score on the ACT and the SAT respectively?
Ok i have not done like math in advance levels..i have only done biology in bigger level which one should i choose
Basically the SAT is more about IQ intelligence (reasoning ability, etc) than crystallized intelligence which the ACT is more geared towards.
Thanks for a wonderful video.
