Girl this is three years later, and I am applying to clinical/counseling psych PhDs annd love watching grad school reaction videos. Those people on Reddit are so negative! Basically, to them, if you didn’t go to the moon, cure cancer, and won the Nobel peace prize you have no chance of getting in!! Congrats and will check out your channel for your law school journey
There is nothing I love more than seeing Black women in the law. The legal field needs MORE of us. Wishing you all the best and happy to lend my humble opinion as someone on the other side of the whole process.
My stats are so similar to yours and just hearing your waitlist options made me feel so so so much better. My top two are Loyola Marymount and UC Irvine and I would KILL to go to either. Just hearing you got into Irvine makes my heart so happy.
Outside of Columbia, NYU, and Fordham, your best bet is Howard. Georgetown and GWU are great law schools, but the best job offers to black law students in D.C. (I used to be one) always go to Howard Law students. Just my 2 cents.

When I was applying to law school I knew I wanted to stay in Southern California, so I only applied to law schools here. I divided them into dream schools, target schools, and safety schools. My dream schools considered me, but ultimately rejected me. My target school admitted me pretty quickly, so I didn't even complete my applications to safety schools.
I just graduated from ASU with a 6 figure scholarship feel free to ask me anything! And arizona has a ton of tech companies moving in bringing over over 50billion. The real estate prices are going up over 12%+ a year. Plus the Phoenix sun's just beat the LA Lakers

Undergrad is another term for college. It lasts for 4 years and yes, it’s necessary before you are able to attend law school! You would enter college after graduating from high school at age 18 or so
