You're truly the best. Been searching the web for half an hour and nothing. I should know better and come directly to your channel. I've lost count of how many times you've helped me over the years. Thank you.
I stopped the video at the first suggestion of pasting the image onto a canvas, because this was so succinct! But I watched the rest out of respect ;-).
This still gives us no way to size an existing layer to the canvas. I've been searching for years and can't find a way to automate this. It's so dumb that in 2018 Photoshop cant size a layer to the canvas it resides in.
Yeah right... I was waiting him to show what the title actually says but all along it was just other things explained... I mean he even trims the canvas to the object size... which is the opposite of what the title says the video is about...
Although the dude is OK he does not read this comments.... In 2021 still no clue how to do such a way to size an image to canvas (After Effects has this for years) Final Cut has it's fill command. Frustrating 10 minutes....
Your articulation is of the highest standard. Beautiful, comprehension and extremely concise. I am completely in tune in your training skills explanation! Excellent! Superb tutorial my man!
1:09 - what happens when you drag and drop image from Explorer 2:05 - how to change preferences on photoshop to create smart objects when place image - check the options: Resize image during place/Always create smart objects while placing 5:48 - how to remove extra canvas from image (resize canvas to image size, inside canvas) [menu Image/Trim] 7:19 - how to fit canvas to an image that is larger than the canvas size [menu Image/Reveal All]
Dude... You just saved us HOURS of combined time inserting images into new canvases! @PiXimperfect Thank you! - Brian + Erin Currently converting an old school bus into a tiny home on wheels
I have been working on something in Photoshop and I have watched your videos several times and very time you have helped me out! Thanks man! You really know your stuff!!!!!
Eres todo un maestro me da ganas de pagarte todo lo que me estas enseñado , ya le puse like. Te escribo en español porque quiero que sepas que también te seguimos desde latinoamerica.
Can you make a video on how to resize multiple photos in one size? Let say Theres 1280x720 and 640x640 images and I want to resize those with one size without distortingtheimages?
One thing you forgot to show us is how to place the image so that it fills the canvas even if it crops the image. At 1:39 you have white vertical bars. This is because PS fits the image without cropping. But how to do it so it fills the canvas? After Effects has shortcuts for this but can't find it in PS. Thank you!
Unfortunately I still cannot find a way to do it really automatically, without any hand work, when I already have a layer that I want to fit the canvas.
This is great. Your Tutorials and explanations are always the best to learn from. You once made an action that will do all of this. I remember the action file once saved had to always remain in the same output folder (I Think). I also think that the action fit the image to the canvas without the need to use the transform tool. So, in short. Is it possible to recreate that action and how?
This dude has the most helpful Photoshop tutorials, I swear. Subbed

maybe its not photoshop being dumb?
Surely that would distort the original image.
