Adam, I just love your enthusiasm for all things Newport, welcome! You are playing in my backyard. I owned a 32' SeaRay there for 18 years, all my friends had boats and we had epic times. I saw on your video from 2 weeks ago that you were partying with Josh, he was part of our "crew", next time you see him ask if he remembers Kevin and Patrice, he might still hang out with Tim not sure. He also should remember the "Nude Cruise" as everyone used to call them. Up until last year I lived in Corona Del Mar off of Avocado St. and PCH. I still live in the area in a 42' motorhome, but I will be getting another boat in the not too distant future. The water clarity is epic, I've only seen it a couple of times when scuba diving by Crystal Cove and Laguna off my boat. But the best diving of course is in Catalina with 200' visibility. Hope to meet you out there some day soon.
As someone who relocated here from the east coast over 3 years ago now, I completely agree! I absolutely love Newport in spite of the expensive cost of real estate. The weather is just nearly perfect, and there's a ton of things to do. The Beachcomber restaurant in Crystal Cove is probably my favorite place to eat in California. I always take friends & family there and they're just blown away. Nothing like a great meal and then sinking your toes in the sand when you're done.
I just love California and LA. If I would ever move to America I would move to California. It's beautiful, there's lots to do and I just like the general vibe over there.

So yeah, after looking at the wedge, it is a pretty awesome and unique surf spot. The break wall forces the wave back into itself, then as it gets shallow, spikes the wave up. You don't get long rides, but the ones you get are wicked cool. Creates a perfect triangle shape... Interesting. The new wide angle lense is great.
Phenomenal! As a California enthusiast this is just the content... Just the content! Feel like I was there with you biking along, stopping at bars, letting the drone fly, jump in the water,... Perfect! BTW I usually have Google Maps open while watching these vlogs and check where it's all at. Saving everything for the next trip there! Coincidentally we went surfing and drinking in Hermosa Beach last time we visited when you still lived there. Loved loved loved it! Have you thought about uploading twice a week with a more vloggy type schedule? Shit might seem bland but hey, views do go through the roof with some 'tubers out there. I'd most definitely watch!

Amen to this title. I'm 20 and going to graduate college with no debt, and planning on interning out near Laguna beach so I can get a job set up there and move to that area when I'm out of college. Probably more around Dana point since it's cheaper. I've never even been here, but just by doing research I know I will love it. You can go to amazing beaches, YET still drive an hour and a half north to snowboard. It's insane. The water is beautiful and you can jetski out to Catalina island. The town is nice and safe too, and jobs are amazing. There's seriously no better place in america, and I haven't even been here yet. Gonna suck I'm gonna have to work a 9-5 when I move over, but I dream to one day let TH-cam take over, making life tip and lifestyle vlogs with no clickbait. I'm currently looking into getting my first camera (:
I love Balboa Island!! Just as an fyi the Wedge breaks on a south swell which hits the jetty just right to make the waves get bigger. The water was so clear last weekend, because there is little swell or no waves to cause silt to get kicked up. Love your video's!!! Cool 80's glasses too...

Equally as good as your last video! Brings me back to a road-trip my father took me on in 1977 in Laguna, Newport, Huntington, Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan. My first time out of the desert of Arizona it was amazing to me. Now my favorite place is Coronado Island, San Diego. There are some epic homes, vistas and great neighborhoods to cycle through. You need to check it out especially some of the homes!
There are a lot of Patterson Custom Houses in Newport Beach, mainly those modern ones that you mentioned. Consider getting a handlebar side mirror for your bike so you know when cars are coming.
yes and no. i use to know someone that live in place near bridge ferry to little island. and place is over place land and house. but great place to visit and hang around. and person live in aprt looking out at the ferry too.

I live in Newport Beach and like you, I keep forgetting how beautiful my neighborhood is. I live on Bayside Drive literally next to the bridge that takes you into Balboa Island. BTW, the market you pointed out in your video by the ferry, my grandparents used to run it back in the 30's, they lived in the apartment upstairs.
