Christine----I was a vegetarian even longer than you were---finally got tired of my own lame excuses----went vegan----One of the best things I EVER did----- Thanks for sharing with everyone about how easy it really is!!!
I love making homemade granola too! I like adding dried mulberries and raw cacao nibs. Sometimes I chop up dried figs and add those at the end; so good! The possibilities are endless; I love plant-based cooking and eating!
Christine I'm really enjoying your videos. You seem so authentic and non pretentious... something that seems to be lacking in good youtubers the last few years. Stay creative girlfriend!
SomebodyIusedtoknow (Mariam Paré) I so agree with you and bc of that she has became my favorite. I raley watch anyonelse anymore! She seems to be living the way we should!
I love you, Christine! You are such an inspiration. You bring an exceptional uniqueness to the TH-cam community that I truly appreciate! Please continue to shine and share your lifestyle, tips/tricks and insight! 💕
Christine, I am loving these videos! You are such an inspiration to me.....I just returned from getting groceries and bought many items you recommend. ALSO, last night I ordered 2 of the Hydro Flasks! They are pricey, but I'm sure well worth it, after reading the reviews! Thanks hon, and keep them coming! :)
Can you elaborate on how your energy has increased since changing your diet? What was your day like before and after the change? I find myself lounging a lot because I just don't feel like doing anything. Lots of times, I'm too lazy to eat so I skip breakfast and lunch and force myself to figure out dinner. Tfs!
The first thing I noticed after adopting this lifestyle was my increased energy!! Amazing! Your meal selections look awesome in this video. I'll have to try the cabbage leaf tacos...
I just love these series, since I have been vegan for years. Love making granola, I have allergies to lots and lots of products...I have to really research everything. Keep them coming, because we are getting more ideas from you. Thank you❤️
Soooo inspiring! I love these videos Christine! One day, I hope to adopt this vegan lifestyle, but as of now I'm not ready for the commitment yet lol. Poor excuse, I know.
Mmmm watermelon and rambutan! Can't wait to eat that this summer! Not quite hot enough here yet. Have been loving all the meals and snacks! Delicious and definitely something I'd love to change in my routine.
I don't know if you know but one can eat the cabbage core. Not sure how the purple cabbage core tastes but the regular is delicious. Just raw with maybe a touch of salt, similar texture to kolhrabi or radishes.
I saw those Hydro flasks at my local health food store. I actually checked them out a few weeks ago but forgot. Now that I know they keep water ice cold, I am planning to buy one!
missOhdrey I am always wondering about this also! It's like only one big gulps worth! lol Seems a waste for the pricier teas. I'd probably be double using the expensive ones!
I was hoping she'd explain in today's video due to all the concerns in yesterday's video about this! Maybe she likes her tea more concentrated? I usually make 2 full mugs from just 1 tea bag so I don't quite get it. Please Christine, tell us your reasons! ;)
Marilyn Baumann Same here hun....I'm in the UK, we can't get baby bell peppers, huge tubs of dates or cherries (we can get little punnets but, they're really expensive).....avocados are quite costly too and as for the 'exotic teas'....well they start at around £4.00 ($6 + ) per box :/ x
Carole Evans Tesco sells baby bell peppers in a big bag they are so yummy, but not organic. I'm in London we have organic markets every week try google some near your area sometimes we get a huge bag of dates so cheap! But yeah our teas coast a small fortune lol xx
Marilyn Baumann Don't worry about that, it would be the same if she ate local fish and showed us non-Vegan meals... Just search in TH-cam "What I eat in a day vegan" and you'll have hundreds of thousands of videos that show you how easy and (usually) cheap eating plant-based is, at any latitude :)
Sophie Gaines Pretty sure one sadly passed away and she gave the other to a friend because I think they had more to keep it company. Christine talks about it before her travel videos. If I am not mistaken
i was shocked to see the deglet noor label on the dates, and to find out it was grown in california since 1930's.... i thought it was a trademark label property of my country (algeria), since the cultivar is originally from here (where we call it deglet nour, and it means date of light).... this is one of the reasons i love the internet, i learn a lot every day, and from the most unsespected sources..
***** Vegans should try to take a b-12 vitamin as vegans have a higher chance of becoming deficient which can cause many side affects. B-12 is most commonly found in meat and dairy foods.
I hope you are enjoying your vegan challenge. I have lived vegan for about 5 years. I eat mostly just raw fruits and veggies during the week. Then on weekends I try recipes or have some vegan treats.
I have really been enjoying your challenge week. You are inspiring me to try it. I have not eaten red meat (only seafood), for 10 years, but I slipped into eating more carbs (sweet have been my weakness). But when you mentioned about your energy level being high on this diet, it made me think. My energy level has feel so low and I need to switch it up. Thank you for posting these great videos! I have been enjoying your videos since last summer when I discovered you.
Great videos I found you when looking how to lighten my hair and have watched about 10 others since. I was a veggie for years and your videos are inspiring me to eat more veggies.
I had to stop the video when you said that you buy your Acai smoothies from Costco. I have never seen anything but the acai drinks in Costco. But I have looked!! I will go back and look again because those packs are my favorite breakfast and a pack of 10 would make me very happy and I am sure it's cheaper than I have been buying it.
Hi...thank you for sharing! Have recently gone veg and your videos are inspirational! I have to laugh when I see your Hadley's dates...they are just down the road (SoCal) from me! Can't wait to see what's on the menu for tomorrow!
I wondered why you didn't snack on nuts or use peanut butter or cashew butter for your snacks! Bummer that they make you break out, but there are so many yummy dried fruits you can use in granola instead, I'm sure you don't even miss nuts.
Thanks for sharing these. They look amazing. Just curious, is it ever a worry to you how much sugar is in what you eat? I ask only because I have to watch my sugar intake, diabetes runs in my family and so I've become almost hyper aware of sugars in foods. I am assuming it makes a difference because it's natural and plant based and not refined.
Emily Guleff I was thinking the same thing...I'm enjoying the recipes but some of the foods look very high in sugar....Even if it is from fruit and vegies..Too much fructose is not really that good for you.... However I thought maybe because she has cut out other foods the sugar replaces this....I'm not sure......but I personally when putting a banana and vanilla protein powder in a shake dates would be over the top too sweet for me...Anyway I am enjoying this series...loved the tacos the other night yum!!!
I'm loving these recipe videos! It's giving me such inspiration! You have such great eating habits! What does the acai taste like? I've never had it before.
I really loved these videos!!!! You should do more food videos...I want to switch over to this kind of food lifestyle and these videos are so motivating!! Plus they give great ideas. I enjoy all you videos! Thank you!!
I love these vids! One of the things I eat all the time which is vegan (and I only realized now after watching your vids) which you may like is a vegetable curry - really simple to do. you can curry pretty much curry any vegetable, potato and peas is common one or mixed veg curry (carrots, potatoes, peas, greenbeans, cauliflower) - dhal is another vegan dish as well, also mushroom curry - they all use 3 basic spices chilli powder, tumeric and coriander powder - the less spice you use I find the tastier the curry.
Hey Christine. Loved this video and this series. I was wondering if you could do a vegan/vegetarian/ healthy in general, on the go lunchbox ideas. I am still at high school and I struggle to eat healthily when we aren't allowed to heat food and have minimal time in the mornings to prepare it. I really want to be live a healthy lift style. I know there are probably plenty on TH-cam, but I would love to see your ideas!x
Rambutans and lychee aren't my favorite but longgans are one of my favorite fruits! I miss eating them so much every since I moved from the Philippines to Arizona :(
The food looks great! Yummy! Are you craving cheese or eggs? I'm not sure if you ate those while vegetarian. Just let us know at the end of the week if you had any cravings or felt anything different. I know you said you had more energy. Is that as of this week?
Love your vegan series U0001f495, I'm vegan myself, but have never tried any protein powder or anything, would you elaborate on why you decided to use it, did you feel you lacked protein? I have read that if you eat a meal like the quinoa and veggies/beans you are getting a 'complete' protein already, would like to hear your experience with it and any other supplements you take? I love that you drink teas, I have them and even cute cups.. just can't seem to get in the habit of drinking them..!!! n_n
Hi Christine, just recently I started raw vegan and came upon your channel. Your videos about what you eat in a day are so inspiring (today I made the sushi with avocado and rice). Maka by Mana (just looked at the webside) must be an amazing restaurant. OMG, I wish I would live in Hawaii...Anyway thanks for sharing those videos and I would loooove to see more!
Everything looks delicious! I've been vegan for a couple of years but I always appreciate some inspiration. I hope you continue, its a great lifestyle! :)
I don't want these to end!!!...and I'm not even vegan ;) but I am a huge paleo foodie who is always looking for new ways to incorporate all of my produce!! Thanks for doing these Christine!!
Beautiful food ! :-) The pre-made salad from Costco looks like a quinoa tabbouli? Those purple cabbage leaves are so darn colorful and versatile, love em! I get acne from too much fat of any kind, but we need some fat so it's finding your own sweet spot amount. I think leaky gut is a factor too.
Watching these videos this week. I am so inspired to try this myself. I eat more plant based foods anyway but I am not a complete vegetarian let alone vegan. More because of my family. But as I have gotten older I am finding that I don't like meat period. I prefer fruits and veggies. Thank you for inspiring me even more to make the leap. Hi! Wondering about the edamame hummus, is that a Costco product? It looks yummy! Actually all of your meals look yummy! You havd inspired me to eat whole foods again. So many vegan recipes call for, what I consider, weird ingredients, but your recipes have items I already own with whoke fruits and veggies. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to more inspiring videos. Blessings!
YUM those cabbage tacos look delish!! I'm going to try those soon. And those cute little red fuzzy fruits?? I didn't see those when I was there!! They are really interesting looking! Thanx for the ideas for vegan meals for the day! :) Mahalo~
I love this video series. You are giving me so much inspiration and ideas for healthy eating it's insane :-) Best part, my husband likes it too! xx Kasia
I tried to eat dates but since I don't consume sugar they are too sweet for me. I try to stay away from fruit with high sugar content. I do like all the veggies and ideas in your videos.

megablessedgram Where did you find the Hydro Flasks?? Thanks
hydroflask.com
They sell them at Dick's Sporting Goods, but didn't have the colors I wanted in the store. So I ordered them on line. :)
Great! Thanks
KatieKate You're welcome!
Will definitely give this a try, but only when I get home from my Malaysian vacation! Thanks for all your terrific videos!
Love your videos Christine! I've been vegan for almost 3 years now. I've never felt better and my skin is also better than it's ever been!
Can you elaborate on how your energy has increased since changing your diet? What was your day like before and after the change? One day, I hope to adopt this vegan lifestyle, but as of now I'm not ready for the commitment yet lol. Poor excuse, I know.
I love this series. Is there anyway to list what you ate each week on the description box? Or on the blog for future reference?
Mmmm watermelon and rambutan! Can't wait to eat that this summer! Not quite hot enough here yet.
Have been loving all the meals and snacks! Delicious and definitely something I'd love to change in my routine.
LOVIN this series-so many new meals to try..thanks for these, Christine :))
Christine can u do a video on recycling and do u save fruit rinds and waste for compost? If so can u talk about it please 😊
Very inspiring video! I plan to emulate this after buying all the ingredients. Do you feel any different after a few days of vegan?
I love these recipe videos! Great and yummy ideas!
I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I find these videos really interesting.😊
Wow Christine, great job on this video! Some of these meals looked really delicious : ) you inspired me to try the quinoa tacos! Yum
This series is such perfect timing! I have been vegetarian for five years and as of 5-1-2015 I've been vegan!
I love these videos! Hope you keep them updated the challenge! Xx
I don't know if you know but one can eat the cabbage core. Not sure how the purple cabbage core tastes but the regular is delicious. Just raw with maybe a touch of salt, similar texture to kolhrabi or radishes.
Where did you buy your thermos? I'd love to try it. Love all your videos they are very inspiring. Thanks!!!

Will have to try those fruits at the end they look really interesting. Are they sweet or bitter? X
Every time you make tea you maybe fill only a third of your mug. I dont get it lol
missOhdrey I am always wondering about this also!
Please Christine, tell us your reasons! ;)
vtigzy Yeah it seems like why bother making tea if you barely fill your mug lol
Stillmwondering too:)
I don´t get it either^^ i love to drink my tea out of an extra big mug filled up to the very top :D
It looks great! Most of the things you eat there aren't around where I live:(
Marilyn Baumann Same here hun....I'm in the UK, we can't get baby bell peppers, huge tubs of dates or cherries (we can get little punnets but, they're really expensive).....avocados are quite costly too and as for the 'exotic teas'....well they start at around £4.00 ($6 + ) per box :/ x

I bought some dates today at the super market based on your recommendation. I'm eating some on fruit right now! Delicious!
YUMMO !!!
I know that when I do make the complete switch that I won't regret it.
:) Mahalo~

Hi Christine, I love this challenge! I've been vegetarian for almost 14 years now and been thinking about switching to a vegan diet. Thanks for sharing, I love your videos! xox Ps.: When you opened the lids of those lici-like fruit, the first thing I thought was: omg, they look like EOS lipbalms!! :D :D :D Didn't anyone else think of that? :D Love it! :D
You are so going to stay vegan after this challenge :). Your cabbage wraps look amazing. Where did you get the rambutan, Costco? I'm on Oahu, I get them on the North Shore, but they are so pricey.
