I’m seeing all kinds of theories about these songs (and I love them).
Here is my story/hypothesis:
First we have Conan’s song talking how he likes his (guy) friend but he thinks that he likes Heather (because of his interactions w her). Then we have Conan’s crush perspective (cover by Zachary Tay) and here he talks how he is confused about Heather and Conan and he isn’t sure who he likes because he is insecure and doesn’t even likes himself (this song is bisexual confusion and I live for it).
In third place we have “sucks to be heather” by dalynn !!, here we see heather’s perspective and how she likes Conan’s crush but she sees how he is confused and she thinks that he likes Conan more than her. Even when she knows/ thinks that she doesn’t say anything to them because she likes him (Conan’s crush). And last we have “wish I had heather” by mohika g, in our story she’s Heather’s friend and she likes her but even after all of their interactions (she says they kissed and she gave Heather her sweater too) Heather doesn’t like her because she’s straight and she gives up on her.
I know is messy and a little bit confusing but this is how I see the story. ❤️

i love the lyrics you chose for this!! the confusion and mixed emotions are so accurate. it shows how someone is picking between someone they are obviously enamoured with who they don’t think they could deserve but also their best friend who they love and who loves them but they don’t understand why. the confusion and obvious love for both parties is beautiful. also the vocals are great!! my only constructive criticism is the bit in the chorus when rhyming me with me. but that’s obviously a small detail in comparison to the whole song especially considering you had to make it fit to the tune!

I think the rhyming me and me only amplifies your point on the mixed emotions. It's imperfect rhyme and I guess it demonstrates the imperfect nature of the guys emotions, or maybe how (because in society gay relationships are still frowned upon by many dumb people) the imperfect rhyme represents how others would see the relationship as imperfect, and that's why they seemingly choose heather?? idk nsjsdjsdnfj also the repetition of me could possibly be like how the person cares more about himself perhaps?
