I have found that when you have a double coming to the call, if you shoot the trailer the leader will often circle back and you can get an easy shot at that one. I often hunt alone and the number of doubles I've shot dramatically increased when I started doing that. Keep the sun at you back and the wind in your face, boys!

A very large male here in East Tennessee threw at least 3 in one litter. I was lucky enough to get one two years later. He's at the taxidermist now. LoL

how far do ya'll usually walk in from your pickups? whats the closest you'd feel comfortable walking into a stand?
Really depends on the area and how close we can hide. Sometimes we'll walk 50 yards, and other times 500 yards.
What grain and type of bullet in the 5.56 are you using in the Hornady? Thanks for the awesome videos.

How's Rick like his burris eliminator?
Why when I go out and calls day after day I rarely see one? I've only shot 6 after like 60 stands.
I would guess it is your setup... also getting into your stand.
If you haven't used a Maglula mag loader, I highly recommend you try one. Especially when your hands are cold!
Idea 💡- why not come up with a light weight snap together fake rock wall as a blind in front of you?

Geoff and Rick, can get pretty good shot placement even on a run, and even with a poor hit, and the ammo they are using, they curl up after 50-75 yards.
