It’s definitely excellent, but I have to disagree. Boots Randolph did it best, in my opinion.
@@TheMinecraftACMan I didn't even know who Boots Randolph was, but due to your comment, I looked him up. I agree that Boots Randolph did it best, in your opinion, because in my opinion, Johnny Ferreira far surpasses the skill that Boots Randolph seems to portray. I don't know why he kept stopping and blowing out short notes, but it interrupted the piece and really ruined the mood. Johnny's version is so smooth in comparison. I won't bash Boots entirely, as I only listened to this one tune, but if he stops and "enunciates", chopping up the tunes of everything else he plays, then it really is going to be a deal breaker for my opinion of his music. I know. Like my opinion matters, but still. Thanks for introducing a new musician, all the same.
@@davidmcmanus4751 Look into some of his other work, he's pretty good. He's the guy who did the famous "Yakety Sax" which is better known for being the song that was used for Benny Hill skits.

You can't go wrong with any sax I have played an Alto, C Melody, and a Tenor, and I just love the sound of the Tenor. Good luck on both.....lol
You’ll do great on any sax you put your heart and soul into. In my opinion, tenor will serve you slightly better for dirty rock and roll sounds and “fills the room” more than an alto, however an alto will give a better clean jazz or romantic sound. As you can see here though, Johnny shreds this romantic piece with a tenor, so it doesn’t really matter!! Good luck :)

has moved me to the point of motivating me to buy one and play thank you sir very beautiful very touching outstanding feel for what your playing i was talking about this very thing the other day with my mom after sharing with her Chelsea Redfern sings a version of Princes- Purple Rain! as i found one day while on youtube looking for prince and or just the song of purple rain period when i could not find anything after looking changing the way i put it in search nothing but the same Chelsea Redfern popped up over and over and i was like OMG??
who wants to hear that song sang by anyone but Prince but wanting to hear it really bad i gave in! and this girl blew my mind it was soooo outstanding check it out if you have not already its worth the 3min for music lovers trust you me! in fact i fell in love with the soft spoken cutie pie with a big commanding voice! anyways!, as i told my mom about another cover song she does by Adel called "Someone Like You" another must listen!
it blew my mom away when i shared them both with her and then had her play the Adel version of it explaining how Adel did a better job with the song simply because of time and understanding! because when Adel sings it you can feel the pain and understanding of the words she is singing about but when Chelsea sings it although outstanding you can here the difference that for Chelsea she is just singing a song with words really really good but Adel has lived the words she is singing and is singing them from the heart. clearly the way you have played the songs here and on your "Only Fools"
you have lived it you have loved a woman so deeply that when you play the sax its as if you were romancing her all over again like R.A. Cooper said it brought him back to a point in his life probably when he longed for the gal he loved thousands of miles away with only these songs to bring him comfort
