no we have to wear the camo as part of a uniform as its retired army vehicle, we dont wear beret's with regiment colours or that stuff. We run the largest tank driving ventre in UK and do test work for the MOD and also advertising work like this :)
+SuperDosel They usually get special rubberised tracks that don't damage the road - obviously steel tracks would tear up the asphalt ESPECIALLY when turning, and it doesn't just cost the road - tracks are very expensive to maintain and replace, so yet another reason for rubber tracks.
Ahmed El Mohammad Actually, guns are allowed in the UK, but you have to have a fair amount of paperwork and an inspection from the rozzers. As for the tanks, they have requirements such as a side mirror, rubber on the tracks, lights, deactivated gun and you need a category H license. I suppose the US would be similar, however I don't know about the story over there.
hi tank nut dave can you do a segment on how to read German Tank Periscopes or American and Russian and how they estimate the range of a tank during ww2 using tank periscopes? :P
08:30 @cyclist ""f***ing playing with your life"...but cyclist had right of way! If he had a red you've would have had a green right turn arrow below the main green!
well,. not to sound like an ass, but they ARE Legally allowed to own one. I know that in the U.S You need a Shot gun License to own this, dont know how the laws aply in the U.K after the 1997 Gun Ban, wich is still annoying as Hell. But if you got the paper work, and a Lota Ca$h, you can own a Tank. Just dont expect to get any decent to Good Gas Millage? A Sherman Tank for example, does 4 Gallons to the Mile. - NOT 4 miles to the gallon.... Just save up those gase stapms at Shell =P
***** Aslong as it's barrel is strapped down , not like you would have ammunition but incase you were drunk sometime, and rotated the barrel, most likely slicing a poor fucking bus in half?

"Why is that tank following me????!!!"
That van tagline Live Craft Die Punk.
Not really was tired from having to get up at 3am to get the vehicle ready lol, but it is still an experience well worth it :)
road tracks otherwise you would hear the clang of the tracks eating the road
SPG casually driving through London, not a single fuck was given. XD
always wanted to do this dave mate cheers!
hmm not enough people freaking out for some reason. Its like "oh its that a tank? Ah late for my lunch appointment." *Keeps walking.

Top class driving, i find it a pain in a car in town! ;-)
At least nobody would try to cut in, God help them if they did LOL.
Oh, your lucky, you probably have the coolest job in the world.
wow the london vehicle tax must of been tremendous on that abbot tank!
So you have to wear camo while driving it, despite not being servicemen?
Out of interest what type of tank do you have in the video?
Its a Abbot SPG (Self-Propelled Gun)
0:01 when you turn your backwards camera on accidentally
How badass did you feel while doing this?
So no tail gaiters or road rages then.
Is it an Abbot self propelled gun??
Really good video Dave! Like these ones if you're moving any other tanks on public roads!! :
Wow that's an awful lot of roadworks going on there.
Are you acually a real tanker or are you guys just wearing camo? I just subbed so idk
yes
hi tank nut dave can you do a segment on how to read German Tank Periscopes or American and Russian and how they estimate the range of a tank during ww2 using tank periscopes? :P
London is almost as bad as Edmonton, Alberta for being one giant construction zone after another.
reminds me of the nazis occupying france and holland
Awesome!!
My dream hahaha
Why
Nowt wrong with a Abbott SPG
08:30 @cyclist ""f***ing playing with your life"...but cyclist had right of way! If he had a red you've would have had a green right turn arrow below the main green!
1:03 pause the video... what thing does cross in your mind... hmmmmm :D :D
A freakin tank driving around the streets making a lotta noise and nobody giving a f&ck about it. What wrong with this word?
So a tank in a city making noise nonody cares Costosky.is precisely that.who cares (? )
who doesn't drive a tank through London.
Isn't that a BTR not a tank
felix lopez It's actually an Abbot SPG (Self propelled gun). It's all mentioned in the description.
shit America streets don't look like that dam even a tank can't mess the street up
Whiteboy,im a muslim.
Why are they allowed to just drive though a city like that?
Artyom Karapetov because they are legaly allowed to do so ?
***** Thank you for the thorough explanation, wise sir.

My dream)
too bad the road is now fucked up from those tracks
That's why you use rubber track pads.
Nope it is road legal and has rubber tracks it won't do any damage the road.
If you could drive tanks in the USA just imagine seeing m1 abrams on 1 street XD
Just looking at it makes me think it's an APC, not a tank.
Its a SPG (Self-Propelled Gun/Artillery).
Shoot the cars and I will give 100 likes.
