I used this video to successfully replace a t470s keyboard. Thank you. Clearer than other videos I found... and sound is excellent. A couple tips for others: 1) The sliding frame that hides the screws, the two little rubbery "grabbers" beneath the Ctrl keys are fidgety. In video it looks pretty easy. Viewers doing it for first time -- practice putting back in your old, broken keyboard to get more familiar with feel (I didn't but wished I had). I spent about 90 minutes on repair and a lot of that was messing with that sliding frame. When I slid the top of the new keyboard under the bevel, the frame would get knocked back and hide the 6 screws, or I couldn't get the screws to line up. 2) Putting the cables in was REALLY difficult on the t470s, be patient. Hard to see. Leads are short. The plastic slips into the clamps, and the clamps will give a little "snap into place" feel when it's right. 3) Google for "T470s keyboard replacement procedure" to see Lenovo's guide -- this video is a lot better, but the Lenovo thing gives clear overview of major steps.

You have no earthly idea how much I love you right now. I'm in Mexico broke and destitute and I broke my computer right after I bought it I dropped it on the floor in the whole keyboard came to attached and I thought that it was severed because that little thing was out of his little groove but I was able to snap it back in thanks to you and get it working again. You are a godsend my work production just went up like 70% because I had to buy this big smackey keyboard from the freaking coppel

Great video. One thing I would add is to disable internal battery inside BIOS before detaching/attaching anything from motherboard.. Otherwise you're risking damaging hardware.

Thanks to this I found out two of the screws below holding the motherboard stick through below the keyboard and made the home row keys very unreliable. Had to loosen those and keyboard started working properly again.

Hello I know this I not related but a Lenovo Backlight just stopped working… I’ve tried all the drivers but nothing I try the keyboard on a different Lenovo and the backlight works… funny parts after a while the same laptop that’s working, just stopped… so I was wondering would possibly make a video a Lenovo backlight circuit specifically… it really will be helpful…

Sometimes I feel the work I put into making these videos is under appreciated. Ph0 as mentioned. Please watch the entire video to make sure you do it right. Responding to comments like these is like a slap to the face saying, "I didn't watch your video, give me free personal assistance because my time is more valuable than yours. Nothing else in the video is of value to me."
I know, I could be kind with my responses, but that's what I'm thinking in my mind and I'd rather be open and honest than fake a happy response.
It's very important you follow every step in the video. If I go too fast in the video, you can decrease the playback speed.

Great video, but flawed design... The sliding frame is just stupid, take for example, most of the keyboard replacements are because of liquid spill, and if that liquid is sticky like soda or coffe, no easy slide for you and you risk breaking it...
