This is an instant modern classic synth in my opinion. It has all that wonderful Roland history in its design but offers something completely new, modern, and unique!

What a fantastic sounding synth! You're right, it's a future classic for sure. I really like how you are demonstrating the sounds with contrasting sounds from another synth. Watching videos of people going through presets, it begins to sound the same after a while. Your way really showcases every one of your fantastic sounds.
I started messing around with a piano when I was 24 - nothing serious, or consistent. Every time you upload, it makes me want to mess around with sounds on my keyboard, or learn a little more. It makes me happy. Thanks for doing this.

I agree, I have seen the videos with George Hearn playing it, the one at Scneidersladen is amazing. I am surprised that this synth has not been talked about more, the whole idea of having two separate oscillators setting up the stereo spectrum. Nice playing Matt as always.
And yes I bought this one too, one reason was the enthusiastic guy who built them and the other reason is your playing. Everything sound so amazing when you play it and it is so much fun to watch and drift away.
The Super 6 is vibey, futuristic and timeless. Definetely a very desirable toy and a serious sound maker. My dream synth lately. Great video Matt, love your playing and passion for synths!

Matt, it has an other worldly, ethereal almost early Japan sound about it. (And I know you’re a fan of David Sylvian!) I don’t know much about synths, but you make for a fascinating watch, and your videos are stylistically and visually stunning. Always appreciative of these uploads.
Yeah nice demo and great vibes on the keys i especially love the spooky feels around 9min in, i watched the demo George from UDO gave at schneidersladen in December and the guy has so much passion for this synth, really looking forward to getting one. :)

Beautiful... thanks. It's got the beef and warmth of my vintage Chroma Polaris and the crystaline wanderings of my Yamaha FS1-R and Hydrasynth. Love to hear it with alternate controllers like breath and the Expressive E Touché.
Haha, I sensed that "stank face" chord coming at 3:15! What a wonderful voice that synth has though. Some of it reminded me of the very interesting and spooky Doctor Who incidental music in the late 70s and early 80s.

Saw a video on Alan Starkey channel comparing this to the Roland JP-6 and they seemed quite similar. However, Matt has clearly demonstrated that in some ways, they are quite different. I know he only demonstrates the stuff he actually likes so it must be good. Would like to see a Polybrute or Hydrasynth demonstrated by him.
How did you like the keybed of the Super 6 compared to other synths like Prophet 10s? Hearing that you didn’t like the Moog One keybed made me really interested in knowing how you like your keybed action
Roland-esque (which I love) but with that stereo path going on...like a better more customisable Juno chorus and, of course, other effects...do I sell everything just for this (including my car) 🤔😆
