- This is Part 4 of 7 in a series of videos shot on SEPTA's Market-Frankford Line between 1997 and 1999. Featuring the Budd "Almond Joy" M3 cars, these videos take place from a few months before the first revenue run of the prototype Adtranz M4 set in 1997 and runs through to 1999 when both types of equipment were still mixed on the line a few months before enough M4's were on hand to permit withdrawal of the last Budd set.
Part 4 features runby scenes at 15th Street.

Good video man I use to ride the market Frankford line when I lived in Philadelphia before moving to Oregon in 96 good times and this is history keep up the good videos of the market Frankford line

1977 to 1999 they got rid of the old market Frankford line and put the new one way better
Definitely the late 90's, people walking with their eye's forward, people making eye contact and people reading books and newspapers on the train!!

No, at least, not by me. The El footage was shot to show the transition between the old and new equipment over that time period. The BSL beat me to it by a good 15 years.... I was only 11/12 when the B-IV's came in.
@@trainman1971Those Budd M-3s have the same doors as the Kawasaki B-4s of the Broad Street Subway.

I'm afraid not. I've pretty much posted all the best of my VHS period stuff (1996-2000) already. This El video series is the last of it.
