Cool design, it's almost like the charging cases for wireless earphones etc.

Was curious about the repairability and battery replacement possibility. Seem simple enough with a bit of soldering.

The Wuben X3 is fairly easy to open and modify with the right tools. 🙂

Hey man, mine came a few days ago and after like two charge cycles the battery went kaput. It still makes that noise when plugged in but no indication of charge. No button inputs work anymore. I’m about to go buy a T6& t5 torx to open it up and see if I can fix it. The customer service stinks on ice I’ve been emailing for a week now no response. Just want the damn thing to work. Do you have any tips as to what I should be looking out for?

Are you trying to charge the X3 wirelessly or the charging case? You might need to take the X3 out, and hold a button down on the charging case to turn it off. Then put the X3 in and press a button. I found that the case won't resume charging when I move the X3 around until I turn the case off and on again.

@@TorchHacker I have the model with the stand. I’ve tried wireless charging and using the stand to no success. When on any type of charger, the x3 makes that kind of high pitch noise when it’s charging, but there is no indication of charge. All inputs still don’t work. I think it’s an issue of the battery not being connected to the circuit board properly. Wuben still won’t answer me

@@VincenzoIannucci It might be worth sharing a video with service@wubenlight.com to explain the issue

I was just googling because same thing happens with mine, it was working for less than six months, then it turned off and is unresponsive, doesn't seem to charge. I wrote Ruben but still haven't heard from them, I am in EU so I hope I can get them to fix it. Did you get it fix?

I am surprised how cheaply made this thing is. I was about to buy one, but after seeing your teardown this thing should cost 5-10 dollars and not more.
