Sarasota is a city in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of the U.S. state of Florida. The area is renowned for its cultural and environmental amenities, beaches, resorts, and the Sarasota School of Architecture. The city is at the southern end of the Tampa Bay Area, north of Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. Its official limits include Sarasota Bay and several barrier islands between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2016 Sarasota had a population of 56,610.
Downtown Sarasota is the civic and cultural center of Sarasota, home to the Sarasota Opera, Florida Studio Theatre, an arts cinema and more. It’s also home to some of the city’s best shops, restaurants and galleries. And it’s beautifully situated on Sarasota Bay, with a popular park where children cool off in a splash park and people and pooches stroll past docked yachts and charter boats or stop by a lively tiki bar.

Unbelievably clean and nice and lush. Spotless. No homeless people or very few, lively, clean and beautiful sidewalks, a farmer's market, gorgeous.

Good they need more color
I lived in sarasota for several years over the course of my life. Absolutely gorgeous and one of the best places to live. It has the feel of being a city but doesn't have the feel of ever being too busy or overcrowded.
Downtown is a lovely area. Really close to there, if you headed in the opposite direction of the video, there are some absolutely gorgeous bay views. Would definitely recommend checking out hearts landing, O'leary's, and st. armands circle.

I love Sarasota! Such a beautiful place! Extremely clean city. You don't see pollution like we do in Ohio. I can't wait to take my teen age boys this April. I know they will love it like I do! Thank you!!! 😊

I live here!! It’s a little pricey, but there’s so much do to especially for a family with kids. Over the last few years, traffic and construction have been a little problematic, but nothing too worrisome. Definitely a laid back, easy lifestyle.
Is there alot of crime there? Thinking of relocating looking at palmer ranch area. Thank you
Kenny510 in my opinion, crime in Sarasota is pretty low. I’ve never had a problem feeling safe wherever I go. My family lives in Lakewood Ranch. I’m from Seattle but grew up in Cincinnati, and the hoods in Cincy are bigger and badder than Sarasota.

❤the art deco lamp style and the palm trees.not liking that there is alot of bland steel and glass late 20th century shop frontage.
I live in.perth oz. I'm just looking to see if florida is all its cracked up to be. I like downtown Sarasota. Perth is getting too big now. Sarasota is like a quiet Fremantle..our harbour suburb. This is peaceful. Actually, florida seems like a smaller version of Australia.
