    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Good suggestions. Short answer for the last part: keep focussing on what you are doing at the moment. Focus on bsc when doing bsc. You'll naturally start thinking about research when you are supposed to do research. There's no need to go out of the way and think about other things. Focus on the path bsc-msc-phd and once you get into phd you'll anyway have to think about research. You may attend seminars or do projects just to get a feel of it out of interest. But don't let such talks/seminars demotivate you as almost no one understands them. Enjoy your courses now when you still have them because later you may not even get a chance. Later, when you get into research you will not have such courses. So live in the moment. Cheers!

    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It is great to see the interest with which you're studying. It will take you a long way. Yes, it is very common that after going through the theory, we are not able to solve all the problems. Firstly, try to attempt on your own, trying to think in different ways, which I assume you must have already done. If you're still unable to solve, then voila, it's an opportunity to learn! You can look up solutions online. There are many sources available. If you're unable to find you can try these(I found on PlayStore)-play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.copone.solutions (vol1) and play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coptwo.solutions (vol2)
      Once you understand how to solve it by looking at the solutions, solve it again all by yourself. This will help in solidifying the concept.

    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To become a full professor at a good college you'd require a PhD. Actually if you join for an integrated PhD at any research institute, you'll start getting paid right after your BSc. You save one year in Integrated PhD as it gets complete in 6 years, whereas MSc + Phd takes 2+5=7 years. An Int PhD student gets paid for all 6 years, while in case of MSc+PhD, you'll earn only after you join for PhD unless you have a scholarship for pursuing MSc. In iPhD, once you get in you won't have to again appear for any entrance exam again, your journey for six years is fixed. In MSc+PhD you get the flexibility of switching in institute after MSc but need to apply for PhD separately and go through application/entrance exam process again.

      Yes, NET exam is sufficient for being a professor. I have seen people doing partial PhD where they pursue PhD as well as be professor. Hey bro I am a btech guy, preparing for inat, jest, gate, jam so what shall I go with for now
    For now I am using hk das for mathematical physics, berckley vol 1 for mechanics and ghriffits for electrodynamics...
    Can you please give your suggestion on it

    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I suggest you go through the syllabus of the exams you wish to appear for and ensure that you cover those topics during your studies. Since you are doing btech, there would be some physics topics that won't be in your curriculum and you'll have to study them all by yourself.
      Books after all is a personal choice. Different people resonate with different books. I have already mentioned the books I used and the ones I strongly recommend in the video. Hope that helped.
      Also, if you are worried if what you are studying is good enough for cracking some particular exam, I would suggest looking up previous years' exam questions of the topics that you have already done studying. This way you'll naturally find out what areas you need to focus on and if the books that you are using are really helpful for cracking that particular exam or not. All the best!

      @@sarveshgharat449 INAT is very difficult exam of all the entrance exams. Because, In addition to Advanced Physics it also tests your understanding in the area of Mathematics, Statistics and Advanced Electronics. Even if you get previous papers of INAT it won't help much as they do not encourage a fixed pattern . So if you are comfortable with fixed pattern exams or if you are not confident in Maths/Stats/AdvancedElectronics, then the alternate way to apply would be via JEST, NET exams that are alternate routes to apply for IUCAA admission and comparatively easy to crack (compared to INAT i mean) if you are good in Physics
      But, it will be a good experience for you if you try giving INAT as a self assessment exercise

    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For jee advanced, those should be enough. Doing uni physics and resnick halliday would be an overkill. The latter try to relate the concepts extremely well with day to day lives with real life examples around you. So if that's something you'd like to know while studying, you may think of buying one of them.

    Hello elder brother , i am from Tripura ,and i am a student of bsc physics major (2nd sem /1st year), i prepare for jam 2022. If you make a video on jam ranking for different IITS it will be helpful for me and others. Please make a video on ranking for different iits.

    • @LifeAroundScience
      @LifeAroundScience  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. Could you explain what you mean by jam ranking? If by that you mean the JAM cutoff comparison, do check out the LAS Facebook page: facebook.com/LifeAroundScience. I have just posted the cutoff comparison prepared by one of my friends. Hope it helps. If you mean comparison between IITs, I would suggest you to look up QS world rankings and NIRF National rankings for each IIT which are computed every single year and the are most complete and official rankings. If you meant general student life comparison, it would be difficult to do that as I have been only at IITB. Let me know if you meant something other than these.
