      in former Eastern Germany they built stuff that worked and lasted longer than anything you can buy nowadays because of your beautiful "market"

    • @Vlad-sw4zd
      @Vlad-sw4zd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@sonofhismother The machines differ in fabrication quality. Try any fake legos. Their constructions are a lot more fragile and degrade with time and its not like they are handmade. But it’s not just about the machines. It’s also about plastic quality which is not affected by water or low temperatures.
      I am sure all german industrial quality is just a market legacy. Because I know exactly where all of the soviet industry came from: all russian production has always been basically some american fabric bought and copied detail by detail. A state run economy can only evolve extensively not intensively.
      And do you really believe a state could authorize some toys to get that amount of resources to enable that quality?

    • @gustavg
      @gustavg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I disagree. Nowadays Lego is no longer making products that are aimed at building your own creations from the parts. Just look at these app controlled things that make it hard to reuse motors and stuff.

      You are all right. But unless your budding engineer has 100’s of pounds to spend on exactly the right components and a handy swimming pool. Then its not going to teach any new child anything. Its interesting and a good advert for Lego (its already plural Americans) but if the kids cant get their hands on the kit its useless as an educational tool.

    • @hellothere6627
      @hellothere6627 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well that isn’t actually how subs move up and down in water
      Picture a boat upside down on top the water, it would float, now put a hole in it, the air is released and I begins to sink, subs work similarly
      The sub has an air pocket similar to that, and when they want to submerge the air is pumped from that pocket into a tank and pipes open allowing water to flow from the bottom through and out the top of the sub and submerges, when the want to go back up the the pipes are closed and air is pumped back in and the sub rises
      This can be adjusted to varying degrees to vary the height of the sub
      Extra fun fact subs don’t and can’t sit at the bottom of the ocean, they can barely scratch the surface of it
      Draw 10 equally space lines and color in the top two, that is the depth a sub can go compared to the rest of the ocean
      Edit: Nuclear subs can’t go to the bottom, but there are research subs and smaller subs that are designed to
      Enjoy :)

    • @hellothere6627
      @hellothere6627 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chad_Eldridge they can’t reach the bottom because they would be crushed, the pressure of the ocean is much stronger than the subs and they can’t go deeper because of that
      Edit: nuclear submarines can’t but research subs designed for it can go to the bottom

    • @hellothere6627
      @hellothere6627 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Chad_Eldridge to reach the bottom without being crushed I think putting a sub inside another sub then pressurizing the outside one, keep doing this until you can have enough outward pressure to combat the water pressure, you’ll need multiple layers of containers prevent crushing. This however might not be able to sink or it might not be able to hold the hog pressure while at the surface.
      This is just an idea I had i haven’t verified if the theory would work

      Ye good thing my dam essay is about physics of special vehicles

    • @hellothere6627
      @hellothere6627 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Chad_Eldridgeif your talking about a sub that travels around in the magma I don’t think it is possible with our current technology and humans defiantly couldn’t ride in it, you would need an advanced coolant system just to prevent computers from overheating. This sub also wouldn’t have windows so cameras can’t be used. And any pieces sticking out of the main hull like an arm or dill or a propeller to move will all need to stay cool or they will melt and that defiantly isn’t possible. To construct this you can’t have human workers as it is too hot same with any robots. The pipe would need to be fully constructed then lowered down with its coolant system running
      however if you want to just pass through the magma and go deeper a multi layered protective pipe with advanced cooling systems would be necessary to protect the car that would travel down it, however this also isn’t possible with today’s technology
      Your first major problem however would be how to get there, the earth crust at the thinnest 3.5 miles at the bottom of the ocean and 40 miles thick at the surface, the deepest mine is a gold mine that went 7.5 miles deep and that was hard and costly to keep going
      If you wanted to get past the crust a hole through the oven floor is needed and as you go deeper the hotter it gets so human miners can’t help it would all be automatic drills and at some point they would melt unless they wave an advanced collect system we don’t have available yet.
      Needless to say this isn’t possible yet and likely won’t be for a while. The cost to build this then maintain it would be extremely high and would likely surpass the cost of the international space station
