maybe didn't pull far enough? they go almost straight up to the ceiling and should click into place

@@cjgam1ng578 yea! All i had to do was drive it for about 10 minutes and i looked down and it went away!
What happened if you cut the string
makes it harder to pull
Mines broke but it goes down do I need to worry about anything
@josevasquez3789 My car has the exact same scenario. Little metal piece broke, but it goes down still. Does your car go into drive and park now?
Yes it still drive and park no problems at all

What do you do if you break it 😑
It won't lock in and I would assume there is potential for the transmission to pop into neutral on it's own. Not sure if you can get a new clip or if the whole assembly would need to be replaced. My guess is the whole assembly.
What do you do if you didn't push the tab to the right now it won't go down
Happened to me the first time I did one. I just used a pair of needle nose pliers to bend it back. Be aware that it might break though...
What needs to be bent back? Can't figure it iout
It is a small, chrome, thin metal tab with a hole in the middle of it. It prevents the handle from accidentally being pulled.
