Gill is supposed to be opener...and he did well for his age before yashaswi took his position and moved him down ! Ever since hes not same player ! Yashaswi when pitch is lively being exposed big time ! May be Yashaswi should change position with him and see few games ! Pujara should have been there in Aus tour ! Kohli and Rohit wasting two positions !
Who told Ashwin to Retire ? He still had 2 Years to play. Likewise Tim Southee of New Zealand also retired early at 36 Years, he had 4 more years to play. 😢
He has had a good career but keep in mind most of his wickets were on rank turner and favorable conditions . Getting angry on management not to be selected in every game on bouncy pitches speaks volumes about the sense of entitlement these guys have . Spot in 11 is never and shouldn’t guaranteed no matter how good you are . He is well past the peak . Best wishes to him tho
@@Sadabahar62 lol, it's the same bouncy pitches where Lyon plays all the time. And he has an extremely good record in Perth. It's not about entitlement, Ashwin clearly had a lot to contribute, he best matches of the series would have been in Sydney and Melbourne.
@ ‘Grow up’ ? Lol . Relax it is you tube and that is my opinion . All his ‘batting ‘ was on dead pitches as well . He is not some genius as ppl make him to be . Take him outside India and is an average bowler and a tailend batter but you can continue your hero worship
He ran away without completing the aus series like a school kid complaining to mom that next street little boy sunder picked to play. Be mature man. Rather leaving home like a cry baby, could have stayed with team and guided other spinners
Average L social media comment. What do you expect from him? He is sidelined all the time overseas. Have you seen Australia benching Lyon for any game? The guy has taken 537 wickets, is handy with the bat, so much experience and is thorough with his planning. All that goes out of the window because India is "looking to the future". Is BGT the right series to "look to the future"? Shouldn't experienced players be given a chance to compete in this all important series? Indian spin bowling will not be the same without him, just like the middle order is not without Pujara.
Nz test at chennai was planned to be his farewell match..but he didnt retire so they called sundar for rest of matches..it wouldnt have made any diff in the series whether ashwin played or sundar played as top order failed in e every match...if ashwin played the rest of 2 matches mayb he would have retired then....taking to aus and not in playing xi was clear msg to retire...
You act like you know what’s going on in the Indian camp. They may have told him that he won’t be playing for the rest of the series. Thats why maybe he retired.
@@jvj411 firstly, NZ did not play in Chennai this series. Secondly, who planned his farewell match? The guy was Man of the series in the Bangladesh series. Do you expect that with that performance, he would have been quitting the next series? It is a clear case of miscommunication and disrespect from the management.
@@harjot21 sry, i meant chinnaswamy...it was clear indication from management to ashwin to take his farewell match...if not then he may have to retire sitting at home...do you expect him to be in team anyways after wtc ??
Legend can't be replaced
Even pujara has been treated so badly. How can gill even come close to pujara. I am sure he knows what Ashwin went thru

God created everything everybody unique. So nobody can replace anybody is already written bro 😊
Indian team should give tribute to Ashwin by winning BGT series

Not getting enough chances to play thats the reason
As like Ashwin bowler to replace we need smart captain or smart palyer😂
I think replace as a Ashwin is easy
First gill needs to be removed and replace him with pujara
the unbeaten home record is gone, and they dont play him in SENA. there is not much for him to play for.
It was gone because of batting failure. Throw virat and rohit out
😊
Complete politics... Even playing well, not given a chance..

Sure when your top order can't make 150 runs and u need additional batsman eating up the spinner slot and crying on ash to fix it batting . Grow up
