They are so right ! Look at who's the most famous right now : Symone, Gigi, Tayce, Bimini. They all look like models. But drag isn't just pretty people. Drag is entertainment first !

When i first went on the gay scene the drag acs where artists like Mrs Shufflewick, The Disappointer Sisters, Dave Dale, The Trolettes, Regina Fong. Lily Savage etc so all about entertainment, comedy and beauty wasn't important nor money. When l see drag race and it seems focused on look and fashion, and needing quite a bit of cash so they outfits look great. I do love the show and l love the transformations but Tia is right the old school drag qieens were equally valued, funny and in most cases dressed on a dime. I am glad i have been lucky to see the evolution of drag over the last 40 years.

The UK drag culture is turning into American drag culture.
      Thats the problem.
We are losing our identity and copying the american version.
      Nothing good about losing ourselves.

Drag Race has branded itself as a show about “The Tenacity of the Human Spirit.” It has sprinkles of it sure, but it’s mostly entertainment.
