Currently building a Toronado 425 to put in my 84 Hurst. I have had it since high school and very soon she is getting drug out of 15+ year storage and getting the ground up!!
@@bobgomez9481 do you know that for sure. They didn't come with that. These were 5.0 L V8s with 175 Horsepower factory. A modified 307 olds could probably be pretty fun but most people just give up on the low displacement sized General motors engines
@@jackofblades3171 yes you can hear it trust the guy when he says 455 if it's not it's a highly modified 350 not a chance in hell he's running a307 even modified doesn't do this listen to the motor
Wow! 14's stock? I had 2 different 1983 H/O's, both went 16.2 stock. After headers and some other things got into the low 15's. It took a 350 swap to get into the low 14's.
Mate, be fair, it’s a car from 1984. Of course a more modern car can go faster, and there’s a finite amount of acceleration and performance to get from an old car. This is still sick, and 12.8 is nothing to be sniffed at!
A guy with a 9 sec car that 30-40 yrs older than your STI and drives on the street would call your car slow and it's be worth more than yours Doesn't matter as long as your having fun. And this is just a 307. If it was swapped to a bigger small block Chevy it would be worth less but it would be a second and a half faster minimum.

This guy is one hell of a drag racer he broke into the twelves with an 84 Hurst Olds that's a badass ride keep it up
Speaking from experience, g body cars were great cars, easy to upgrade compared to older cars.
Size and offset of rears ???
Badass 84 Hurst Olds. That 455 Rocket is kicking some ass.
does he still have the stock Hurst 3 lightning rods shifts? If so, that woulda been badass
YES still has them
What's your rearend ratio? What transmission did you go with? Did you have make any changes
350 Olds?
What's all done to motor
Nice Hurst. .... From "The LS3 Hurst" Thumbs up!
What did he have under the hood?

my. 84 h/o went 14.85 with no emissions and small changes with stock 307 at best must be a 350 or better I assume

Low 13s @ 105? Nice. He can go find late C5s and maybe a few early C6s (stock). :) Plus, 0.72 sec. reaction time is very good.
i have one and im 11
Definitely not stock engine
That is Beautiful!!!!!!
Looks like fun!
Badass
Nice car but it's pretty slow. My 06 sti does about 11.2 @ 128 in the 1/4. I wouldn't mind having that car for myself though. 🙂
