I've felt for the longest time that fortified doesn't work and actually feels like I take 15%more damage when playing Gibby or caustic. Am I mad or does anyone else feel this too. I love playing these legends but I get smoked fast!!

I got back into apex like a month or two ago and I would just jump into games and think I could out gun or out aim people and I would get thraxed. I now go into the range and just track the first dummy in progressions. Tracking while he’s strafing slow then fast and then I add me strafing as well and I cannot explain how much better I’m shooting just doing 4-5 minutes of that before I load up.
These long vids are satisfying to watch its like compilation from streams
For ttv building (as a caustic main) I throw one by zip one on stairs and one at top of stairs. Then as I get more one on each floor by zip

Caustic has the same movement and strafing speed as every legend, ive been a caustic main since day 1 and I find him to be extremely mobile and his gas is under respected. Its free damage.

yoo ayex i honestly dont think that the tatcical range 75% is bad at all for example to push a rock and yk theyre healing just launch that bih and they either stop to pop and heal or let it go on and get stunned by the time you get there

i am on pc haha , using controller on pc, even though you can't tap strafe on roller anymore, you can still do some things keyboard players do through steam

Kinda want to watch ayex struggle w/ Vantage. Huge hitbox(I think she might be the largest in the game) and ability not very useful at close range. (Still love to play her tho)
Oh yeah I forgot to say last(or one before?) video, IEMs aren't necessarily better, some may even has worse sound stage since their goal is not gaming. I'm hoping you considered that in your research and got a good one though.
i was watching all of "fresh reviews" videos on the iems he's tested. He reviews them based on gaming performance. He also plays apex which made him a good source for my research. All in all. I've had /tried a total of now 3 iem earbuds throughout my lifetime, and my final conclusion is they just aren't for me. Idk what other people hear when using them, but they are bad for hearing footsteps imo. With iems, it seems like gunshot sounds are just increased to the point where it hurts your ears, while footsteps are muffled/drowned out. The sound quality on iems are better, but like you said, the directional/soundstage audio is horrible for footsteps (imo). Lots of fakeouts, i can't tell how close enemies are, what floor their on, etc.. Cheaper $30-$80 "gaming" earbuds do the job way better than iems (even though reddit flames the shit out of anything thats not iem earbuds 🤣)
I also tested mutiple pairs of iems on both apex and warzone, so its not just the game. same results for both games. Maybe im doing something wrong. All i do is plug it directly into the headphone jack on my pc. Is that what your suppose to do, or do you need like some sort of extra device that you need to plug the iems into before pluggin it into your pc? all the reviews I read praise iems, all of them are trash for me lmao
@@ApexLegendsAYEX Very good point to bring up, haha, it depends on your motherboard, headphones always need a DAC(digital to analogue converter) and an amp(amplifier), but if you have a decent motherboard, the built in one should be entirely sufficient, unless the audio output device say requires way more power(better amp needed)or the signal is way too low quality (better dac needed), if good headphones are much worse than others have said, then it could be the issue of the amp/dac, but it also depends on what the reviews youre seeing are on, good for production/music enjoying doesn’t necessarily correlate to good gaming performance, as they largely want different aspects of the piece to be good. But if they are specifically for gaming and you aren’t getting nearly as good of a result, then it could be a hardware issue like the amp/dac(though unlikely on decent MBs and not prosumer headphones, I use HD599 with a X570-E MB, which has a pretty good internal amp/dac, and so Im not losing out on much if any), but it really depends on what aspect are they much worse than expected, or maybe the reviews are just kinda clueless lol.
In conclusion, could it be that you need an extra equipment? Yes. But it’s not very likely and there are other places to blame for it. And welcome to the audio world where everything is “it depends” and “can you provide more specifics?”.
@@ApexLegendsAYEX Sounds about on par for reddit, lol. Most of the time soundstage is going to be better on those that optimize for it(which seems to usually be in compromise of audio quality more or less, like the HD800($1399), which is said by many to be an end game gaming headphone but not very good in terms of listening to music. Personally though I like headphones more when I sit at a desk, for various reasons if not comfort. Have you tried closed back headphones? They might achieve the same effect of blocking out environmental noise while providing better features than earbuds.
At least he's not overpowered like Rev+Conduit

And there you have it: if there is one guy who could know if Caustic is a reasonable option it is this guy. And he says no. Hitbox too large. They also gave him slower strafe speed, and easy to read dodge animations. It is the easiest character to kill together. Together with Gibby, but at least gibby can pop a dome and escape / not get hit. So it is confirmed guys: it is the easiest character to kill, and not very good choice for a solo player.
all the characters have identical movement speed. some of the running animations can make certain characters feel slower but they still move and strafe at the same speed.
