Chicho es hermoso ver este tango. Lo miraría mil veces. Y me sorprendió ver que abrazas a tu compañera al final del baile. Cuando bailabas con la maravillosa Juana al final de cada baile parecía que la tirabas a un costado. Es una impresión puramente de observadora.

The tango style of this milonguero viejo is called "canyengue" (searh youtube for the word for more of it). The lady is just a prop, although she does dance really well. Canyengue is one of the early argentine tango styles, nobody really knows how it was danced. Various tango afficionados are trying to resurrect it from old photos (no videos known) and memoirs of old farts.
I'd be interested to know what's your defintion of what to lead means. And far more curious to get your definiition of what "nuevo" means, too, because there are several ones and I profess, that nuevo doesn't exist. But, so it seems you've got the means to dance tango better than him. We can't explain why Brussels didn't invite you to perform instead...
I don't get it. He is dancing on the music but from an outside point of view: not interpreting the specifics of the music, as often having the most fun dancing by himself (the lady following along as a prop). Of course he is a very able dancer. Yet this dance is somehow redundant. And i don't care about the embrace or the elements he uses per se or whether it is non-coreographed. It's maybe like a technical workshop demo for leaders.
J'ai bien précisé "Tigre Viejo" dans le descriptif de la publication. Et "Milonga Surprise", est le nom de "cette Soirée" au Brussels Tango Festival 2018. 🙂🙂❤

I take it back a bit: I didn't realize they didn't know each other beforehand. Considering that, it's danced very skillfully.
He's struggling with her a little - she's much below his level, and it was the first time they danced. Still, pretty cute.
