to be fair, the worst thing we can do is keep the redshirt on, he’s the best healthy qb on roster, and it would probably make him want to transfer if we don’t take it off, but finding a qb better than the redshirt probably isn’t going to be hard long term
Bengal is looking to get the MOST out of the promising young QB. By keeping him redshirted, we get to watch as a good young QB could turn into a stud because of the extra year of development. It’s about the long term plans of the school not this year. Even with a decent QB, half of the offense shares the same middle name: Brickhands. Let those guys develop as well and we’ll be watching Ryan Davis throwing bombs to Michael Ham all the time in a couple seasons.

Whenever you run the read option with two RBs in the backfield, there’s always an overhang defender outside of the guy you’re reading which makes it impossible to keep it with the QB if they play the RB. Gotta run read option with one RB formations

Yes that might sound crazy but at the end of the season their acceleration will go +6 or more overall after every season so by the time they are redshirt sophomore or junior they are some really quick receivers. At the beginning of my franchise I focused on high speed and high strength guys and as I got into my 3rd season of the dynasty is when I begin focusing on the high skill rated players. It’s also good to have conservative catching on at all times during the first and second year cause of them brick hands 😂. I’m not too sure what season your in as this is my first video I’ve watched on this series but I’ll be sure to go back and catch up on all of them. Keep up the great work!

Then he is not just a decent backup, he is more capable of starting if they don’t get the QB he is recruiting. It’s not necessarily about winning right now. It’s about development so we can see players like Ryan Davis and the other redshirts play for 4 more seasons. Which means we get to see A LOT more of this series. I’m down for waiting. He could be the next Jameis Winston at Florida State.
I have a suggestion for the Quarterback situation. take the redshirt off Ryan Davis and run dual Quarterbacks like you did last season. have an option QB and a throwing QB.
The ending is just like the OK state cowboys ending. I saw that in person and it was heartbreaking but also 27 could’ve just lowered the shoulder and fought his way in on that play, must’ve had at least 30 pounds on the defender. (Talking about the cowboys btw)
Important thing to remember when recruiting potential QBs. Throw power does not go up as quickly as Throw Accuracy in the off-season. Ryan Davis wont ever have good throw power but will have great accuracy

He jas pretty decent throwing, suck it up and throw more, the only way you are going to attract better WR and QBs is to throw.

No matter what happens you take that TD with 20 seconds left. If your defense allows a TD with 20 seconds left that’s fine you still did what you needed to do.
