Hi buddy. Some of the work done by Neo Freudians has already been covered. Examples include Alfred Adler, Carl Jung, Erik Erikson, and Karen Horney. Please refer to any of them. And if there are any other specific topics, do let me know! 🙂
She did a good job moving away from penis envy and non-sexualizing Oedipus complex. Her views on realizing trends of neurotic needs, and addressing neuroticism through psychoanalysis are commendable too. Though she focused too much on feminism. But this could be the need of the hour. It was in the early to mid 20th century.
The phrase "neurotic people" is unfortunate. Consider 'neurosis' as something that can happen to someone. Consider not defining people by their apparent limitations.
Hi Don. I fully agree that 'neurotic people' is not how one should refer to people with neurosis. It's insensitive to do so. I suppose my lectures are delivered in a partial state of trance, with the learner's ease of understanding at the helm. I shall however try to be more sensitive in future. 👍
helped me with my final exam, thank you!
Great..... A comprehensive presentation on Neo Freudians would be great

Hello! That's a completely different topic I am afraid. I am sure you've found a solution yourself in the meantime

Where once Freud was the bee's knee, Karen indicates not.
