I own 2 harley benton guitars, a mosrite clone and a rickenbacker 12 string clone. They are guitars I'd never be able to afford real versions of. Both of them just needed a good setup and play wonderfully. I'm 100% pro-Thomann and Harley Benton
I own 2 Harley Benton guitars, and they are remarkable! I will not be boycotting them! Harley Benton guitars Rock...!!! Keep up the good work Thoman...👍
I'm not sure where you got your information, but there are three main contributors to the price of guitars (or amps or effects, etc.) - the price (and quality) of components, whether they are mostly machine versus hand tooled and assembled, and the price of labor. The cost of labor in the US is higher because the workers are paid more, usually much more, than their counterparts in other parts of the world, especially Asia, and most especially China. The average factory worker makes about $7700 per year in China ($3.60 per hour) compared with $32,500 per year (about $17 per hour) in the US. Highly skilled workers in the US make much more. There are many guitars that are made in the US, although as you point out, components can come from anywhere. I would point to Harmony and G&L guitars as well as many Fenders, Gibsons, etc. that are made in the US, some of them more reasonably priced (although none cheap). If you want a more affordable guitar, consider a good used one, from reverb.com for example.
I’m not sure what your point is, but like I said $17 is still underpaid in the US. $17 wouldn’t allow you to support a family in any major city in the US. To me the mark up of the US guitar brands is the issue. If I buy a 5k guitar I want to know that the people who worked on it are getting a fair wage. I would say that any budget friendly guitar is made in china or another country where labor is cheap. The point of the video is to not support big brands and instead buy straight from china and cut out the middle man.

Hell, most of us started on eastern guitar…but I’m glad I don’t play on one now! Lol!
Yes, guitar looks great, what is it? If you said, I missed it
They are sold under the name zuwei guitars
So what? America is a capitalist country. This is a contradictory stance.
