Best commercials EVER. They changed it to Real Men of Genius in 2001 because after 9/11, firemen were considered super heroes and bud didn’t want to be seen as mocking heroes

I remember listening to these every morning on my way to school as a kid. My mom would tell my sister and me to be quiet and she would turn the radio up. They were always so funny

Hell yea. Before the age of youtube, I downloaded as many as possible into my HUGE "Ipod" otherwise known at the time as the Creative Juke Box. Bit of trivia for you, but the reason they went from "Real American Heroes" to "Real Men of Genuis" was because of 9/11. They felt that, at that period in time, making jokes about "Real American Heroes" was absolutely inappropriate considering actual American Heroes lost their lives in the most horrible ways (crushed, burned alive, forcing a plane to crash for the greater good, etc).
They actually had a good PR department back then. These days? Not so much.
2nd best after Geico cavemen.
These, and the Foster's how to speak Australian commercials were the peak of 90's, and early 00's commercial genius!
Oh man, idk how I forgot about those Fosters ads (maybe old age) but yeah those were great also! 🤣

I REMEMBER these radio commercials, and I think this was back in the ‘90s! I used to crack up hearing them while out cruising--drinking a Bud.

It's hard to find the ones that said real American hero before they change them to real men of genius... I was working at a warehouse and every time one of these would come on we would stop working and listen to it and just bus stop laughing these were so great

I was on USS Constellation and visited Hawaii for the first time and in a cab “Mr. Moped Fixer-upper Guy” came on the radio while the man himself was next to the cab. I never laughed so hard in my life.

I used to listen to 'em growin' up on 99.5 KISS San Antonio, TX rock station. They were the best ads on the radio...and every once in while you'd catch one on TV. 🤘✌🤙 (insert the American Flag here)

They switched to "real men of genius" after 9/11 when the real American heroes were 1st responders and Anheuser Busch didn't want to compete with that.
