      Thank you for your support! Also, I would like to ask, we are about to launch a podcast about dentists who carry out root canal and are worried about getting everything right, and the mental stress this can put on a clinician, are there any topics you would like us to talk about?

    agreed, always accept your apex locator reading not the radiograph

    really nice video thank you so much for sharing 🙏 and the mb2 managment is just amazing wow 👌👌
    I was just wondering doctor what’s the difference between xp rise and xp shaper? did they just added a glide path file?
    also did you have to use endo-ice before each use?

    • @ilovethepulp
      @ilovethepulp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think ‘XP Rise’ is the file system as a whole, and the shaper is the actual file that is wavy looking. Also, I would like to ask, we are about to launch a podcast about dentists who carry out root canal and are worried about getting everything right, and the mental stress this can put on a clinician, are there any topics you would like us to talk about?

      @@ilovethepulp I think the podcast is a very nice idea.
      Well I think pain and anxiety management is pretty stressful, pre,intra and post- operation. I would really like to know from your experience sir what is your protocol for that in different scenarios “anxious patients, diff pulp and periapical conditions..”

    Love your videos! With this file, presumably it straightens out as it goes to length/changes length with temperature so how can you be sure you're working to an accurate length?

    • @ilovethepulp
      @ilovethepulp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've had a comment regarding this 'straightening out' of the file! I think it's a good point and a question I don't have an answer for! Its an interesting point though for sure!

    How do you like XP Shaper compared to conventional rotary files? When do you select to use XP or normal rotary files

    • @ilovethepulp
      @ilovethepulp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wasn’t so keen on them for primary treatments, they just shook my hand piece too much! However, I think they are essential for re-treatments! We are about to launch a podcast about dentists who carry out root canal and are worried about getting everything right, and the mental stress this can put on a clinician, are there any topics you would like us to talk about?

    Hi Doctor! I really appreciate and love your informative videos. Could you please make a video discussing the length management techniques when using an apex locator, and how it relates to rotary files versus hand files versus gutta-percha? Thanks!

    Love this for retreats and loved the vapor lock explanation. How many times did you pass the file in each canal, until it felt loose at length? I think they say like 6-8 times to get a 30/04 to fit. Sometimes you need a larger file to get a more accurate EAL on bigger canals. Cheers mate!

    • @ilovethepulp
      @ilovethepulp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know I don’t think I’ve ever noticed how many strokes it takes to get to length! Every canal is different. All I would say is never push the files, always irrigate, and remember to remove the debris from the file flutes!

    Looking to buy an endo motor , what would you recommend
    I saw you are using the woodpecker AI motor but I've heard they can be a bit unreliable long term have you found this to be the case ?

    • @ilovethepulp
      @ilovethepulp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s a difficult question to answer. Personally, I have had overall good experience with the motor. However, there has been a few times where the quality of the unit itself has let me down. There are a few cracks in the plastic, but I have never dropped it. The autoclavable heads also tend to chip the metal quite easy, and this obviously makes them unusable. Overall I am happy with the motor. What are you using at the moment?

    I’m impresed by access opening (fast and conservative) but i have a question about previous restauration. I suspect based on pre op radiograph that i can see a recurrent decay under composite restauration (radiolucent appreance) didnt this bother you to remove all previous restauration and to have clean access opening and then to restore it with new composite? Thank you for your videos it helps a lot.

      It’s not clear here, but I had seen the patient previously for a fills replacement. You’ll notice a pin in the pre-op radiograph, and the pin has disappeared in the final post op

    13:21 your distal conefit radiograph shows a very distinct squiggly lines at the apex like a lentulo spiral. did you have to bypass any separated instruments or something? i'm having a hard time coming up with what that could be...

      @ilovethepulp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ahh yes. I can see! Wow good spot, you really have to look close up to see in the DB canal. Well I’m not sure! I don’t have any lentulo spirals in the practice 🫤? I also check the lengths of any instruments that I use in a canal to the point of obsession, and all the instrument tips can be accounted for this case? So it is a complete mystery!

    I will share my experience with this file: First of all this file can't be trusted. The system has many cons imo. Since the file is changing its waviness in different temperature it is also changing its lenght(the more wavy, the shorter). Also the wider the canal, the file gets more wavy and shorter. Thats the problem with your palatal imo. FKG states that you should do 8 in and outs to get to 30/04 but this is pure luck if it will go 30/04 the whole lenght. The rumbles, vibrations make you lose any tactile feedback during preparation. I also have 1 fractured file of this on 1st use of very simple straight canal after doing proper glidepath. Retrieving this file is pain and also sometimes not possible because its too soft and US doesn't vibrate it the whole lenght. Also fracture fragment is usually pretty big making vibrations impossible ot losen it apically. Price is XD, meh. All of this is my personal experience and opinion. I use this file only for retreatments since the high rpm generate heat and the waves help remove GP from walls. I deffinetely do not recommend this file to non experienced users. I do not to experienced too because vibrations makes your experience disappear. Again this is my opinion and I am not forcing it to anyone. More interesting is to make video about their Evo Race series and if you can test them more than 1 case and give opinion. Since I pretty much understand you, you most likely compare everything to Hyflex EDM which is also my favourite file but I stopped using it due to very high price compared to the standard of my country and town. Would love to hear your opinion on my thoughts and also waiting for evo race video if possible.

      Wow. What a comment! This is exactly why I set up this channel for discussion and debate like this! You make a point that I have not even thought about, how does the length of the file change when in use; definitely food for thought! As for the vibration, yes I was shocked when I used this file for the first time, you do lose all tactile feedback. I will look at the Evo Race system, and try to make a video!
