Thanks! We had rock climbing harnesses and helmets already so we decided to purchase the via ferrata laynard before the trip. It was also easier to have the gear since it was a through hike and we didn't have to bus to a rental shop to return the gear after we finished the hike.
I think so! The ferrattas in general are not technically challenging, it ends up being more of a mental challenge with the exposure. You can definitely do it if you are comfortable with the heights!
