  • River Raisin Ragtime Revue performs "Black America," composed by Harry Zickel (1895) and orchestrated by William Hayes. "Black America" was originally written for the African American history exhibition that was briefly a part of the Wild West show of William "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Presented at the Greenfield Village Old Car Festival September 10, 2022. Ensemble includes Priscilla Johnson and Camille Jones, violins; Antione Hackney, viola; David Peshlakai, cello; Caen Thomason-Redus, flute and piccolo; Janet Pinto Sommerfeld, clarinet; Clark Irwin and Ross Turner, cornets and trumpets; William Pemberton, tuba and leader; André Dowell, percussion; and Catherine McMichael, piano.
