I made this last night and it’s delicious! I used spinach instead of kale and added vegetable “better than bouillon” instead of chicken broth, fresh garlic instead of paste, a little mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. My food item adjustments were based on what I had on hand due to me finding this recipe yesterday evening. I had all the other ingredients. It’s yummy. Marry me/never divorce me type of meal!

You toast the chili flakes BEFORE the garlic. Add the parm LAST, OFF HEAT. ADD the pasta to the sauce in the pan BEFORE serving. This will improve your pasta game 10x and not have clumps of coagulated parm in the sauce. This also give you a perfect sauce to pasta ratio since the pasta actually retains the sauce. BASIC food science and will make Nonna proud at the same time.
I agree 💯 w/you so many different variations of spices & veggies that a person can use to create one of the best chick n dishes I believe, ever. I cut my chicken up into an inch or inch and a half size, of course after cleaning the chicken really well. I make this recipe at least 2 to 3 times in a month. Good for you! Thank you for sharing. The only time she followed a recipe to the measurements, were for baking cakes. I can tell how much your using based on Your visuals, it's perfect for me.

Don't actually think so. If you cook down spinach, you end up with green nothing. Kale will keep a bit of texture the dish can really use, as it's otherwise relatively soft. I'd go for maybe Broccoli or anything with a little bit of crunch instead (if Kale isn't an option). Of course something crispy and crunchy could also be fried or baked. People like garlic bread for that reason. Many options

I use spinach because I hate kale. Spinach is a comparable substitute and tastes incredible in this dish!

I made this and it's so good, my family loved it! I used spinach instead and fresh garlic, I also fried half onion in oil and added chicken. Then I made a sauce in another pan and thickened it with flour and cold water, and instead of parmesan I used grana padana.❤ Delicious..

Also anyone coming for you regarding tubed garlic is so wrong here. I’m usually a garlic snob but life is fucking expensive these days!!! I didn’t even use tubes garlic, I used the leftover garlic sauce from shawarma takeout that was left in the fridge because I’m a broke student. This recipe was affordable but tasted expensive. Garlic snobs need to shut up
