He was great looking and very talented. He didn't have enough faith in himself. Gave up too soon. Very popular in the 80's & 90's. To some degree still is.
man, Conan was on top of it. if this interview happened today it would be some sort of jolt to the industry. This was so unhinged and Conan can't believe what he's hearing, if it's a bit Jon is doing or what
Come to think of it, I think Jonathan was too honest for his own good. This would have been his most viewed interview and I wonder if some of the things he said annoyed producers and executives that wanted to keep his image wholesome.
No tea is being spilled. Strip clubs are all over Florida in it's cities. Most guys in their early 20s go to strip clubs. I did then. No association with Disney. Florida is literal swamp land. He's not making a metaphor. Nothing bad about Disney was said in this interview. Conan is making jokes, having a conversation with him, likely jealous of Jonathan's teen idol life. These comments are so strange, looking for people to blame other than himself for his actions. So odd how he seemed to get angry after the audience laughed about him partying till 4. How does one expect an audience to react?

He was a very intelligent guy. It’s sad to see the difference in charisma he had here compared to his roles in later years. He was robbed of the confidence he had here.
@@samaiyanickson269 But I'm glad like people couldn't handle honesty back then, but would appreciate now. Like I really hope he was okay, cause what the hell was that environment around children too?!!! Like the whole cast said nothing too.
Oh shit I just realized that them speaking about wearing the skirt in Ladybugs..and Rodney not wearing clothes…this was his INITIATION. Katt Williams always said they put you in a skirt if you’re a man. He got touched and traumatized by that movie and he’s telling it all right here.
ayup and I was watching old conan's in order and this was the most unhinged interview. Out of the 100's I've watched. I had to immediately see if people talked about it online.
to bad Jonathan left us so early in life. He seemed so happy and fun on the show and open. Funny he talking strip clubs and he said he was 20, what was the age to get in lol
I always thought he stopped getting roles because he failed to make a transition into an adult career path, which happens a lot to child actors. But after seeing this interview, I'm starting to believe he was shunned in the industry for saying too much.
Have you seen the documentary on Hulu called Kid 90? He's in it. It's a collection of actress Soleil Moon Frye's (Punky Brewster) old videos with her friends in the movie industry. The parts with him were pretty devastating. It's very well done and you'll appreciate it if you grew up in the 80s 90s.
@@jennifervail1902u havent. I def need to look for it. I was a kid in the 80's but i had a crush on this teen lol, found out many years later he had passed once we had google search a random day i was in college. I was shocked.
Oh my god who is that interviewer!! What a prick! I'm annoyed watching him, I'd have def's told him to shurup! bet Jonathan hated that. He was amazing though!! Loved watching that never seen him in a interview before. Oh how I wish he was still around 😔 he's still the most beautiful man I've ever seen.
Damn he was already kinda hard on himself here (probably contributing to his bipolar disorder his dad said) also I really miss late night with Conan… nyc was the place for him not the west coast
I don’t like the way Conan (the interviewer) is talking to Jonathan. Why does he keep badgering him. I honestly couldn’t imagine going onto a talk show like this, you would need a ton of confidence. And the way Conan if talking to him, if I was Jonathan I would probably be so annoyed and my ego would go way down.
Totally agree with JazzFan76’s comment! Why have guests and not let them speak? Miss you Jonathan!! Why did no one help? What would you have been doing now?🥲
Honestly he was ahead of his time with his honest personality, miss him:'( wish he was here with us today.
I wish he was in more talk shows during this era, like I loved his personality:')
When I watched his movies as a kid I really loved his speaking voice and the way it sounded. Turns out, I still think this way.
“They’re like 12 yrs old” yeah that was meeee! 😂 still ❤ you Jonathan 😢
He was great looking and very talented. He didn't have enough faith in himself. Gave up too soon. Very popular in the 80's & 90's. To some degree still is.
I never knew he was on the Conan O'Brien Show thank you so much for posting this! Miss him so much!

Thank you for the upload. Never seen this one.
It’s not easy to deal with Conan coming at you like that. you can see the frustration on Jonathan’s face bless him
He probably would’ve been quite the seasoned actor with many cool movies/ projects to on his belt by now. That’s seriously a shame. RIP.
that always makes me sad when i think about it, he was so talented and im sure his fans would still adore him in any project he was in.
Jonathan was charming
Come to think of it, I think Jonathan was too honest for his own good. This would have been his most viewed interview and I wonder if some of the things he said annoyed producers and executives that wanted to keep his image wholesome.
It really doesn’t matter if he said that because Jonathan no longer looks wholesome. The audience knows he’s not just by looking at him.
Thank you for this 💕💕
He was trying to break free from his teen image so he can seem grown up to land more adult roles.
Just think this was 1995, he died in 2003. He never even lived to see this video be 10 years old in 2005 . Life happens fast 😲
Jonathan was spilling the tea on Disney before it was a thing… 😊

Disney is dark and twisted
This was awesome!! Many thanks!❤❤❤❤😊
Imagine what he went through as a young good looking kid in Hollywood.
Rather not
My favorite actor of all time
It is sad to know that once his youthful good looks were gone the industry turned their backs on him as he became an adult.
they were so blind he would've slayed the roles.
He was absolutely violated as a child. He was a young actor. I hope his death is vindicated and exposed for what it actually was :(
He was a very intelligent guy. It’s sad to see the difference in charisma he had here compared to his roles in later years. He was robbed of the confidence he had here.
Good interview I never seen this before
You know the last part everyone just laughed, but that is traumatizing like I hope Jonathan was okay, cause what the hell was that.
I know right
@btsarmy0787 Jonathan was being brutally honest there

Be interesting to have Conan go back and review how he approached this interview.
Yes it would this young man was crying for help in hollyweird pe do ville

Dropping truth bombs ❤ and pissing off the entire industry in 5 minutes flat
"A big mall on a swamp." He told it like it was. Really miss ya, kid.
Alive for another few minutes, Ka-le-phe, Bu-tse-po.
Knowing what we know now thanks to Katt Williams this interview hits different.
Wow! Never seen this before
Jonathan laughed so much but,I did notice that interviewer was interrupting Jonathan a bit to much. Rip Jonathan you were a great actor to us all. 🌠🫂🌹
Yeah Conan is annoying 🙄 😒 If your guest is fighting to be heard you're doing a shit job as a host
Conan is badgering Jonathan. Pretty difficult to watch almost 30 years later. The kid had charisma and polite
Agreed

I love his honest soul.. 💛
Ok I need to know .. anyone out there get a 3am call from him and his friends 😮😂
I was wondering that too!!!!
Holy cow
What is this "the interviewer" bullshit in these comments? How in the hell do you people not know Conan?
He's rude, interruptive and annoying. End of. It's not even funny. Maybe it's the American humour 💁
He should have been a big time film actor. He had an intelligent charisma.
Rest in peace, Jonathan Gregory Brandis. 💔
I hate that Conan keeps talking over Jonathan and not letting him finish. It's like, dude, shut up.
The interviewer has some god awful manners like if you're gonna ask someone questions actually shut up and let them answer my goodness.
Yeah, it was my mayor thought during this interview
he always wore shirts and jackets that were two sizes larger than they should have been
So this is why holkywood stop casting him....i wonder who he hung out with back then...fellow actors?

SeaQuest filmed at Universal Studios, but Conan wouldn't shut up long enough to realize that.
