You shouldn't have contested with those parties in a democracy if you only wants to just put someone their by force with no chance for others. This is definitely democracy if you don't know. Everyone must go to the field to vote for their choice and you can't impose your choice on everyone. It's the process that should produce the leader and not your whims.
