This will never be a DayZ 2. But I see a possibility for a Arma 2 type DayZ like back in the days with this one. We'll have to wait and see how this turns out in the near future

I’d say the current DayZ is fine at it’s core but a lot of the changes in the last year or so have been pretty useless for the most part and don’t really advance the game in an interesting way, finally some map changes coming this year to Chernarus like NWAF redesign
@@jamie56k Day Z's biggest issue is honestly the engine it runs on. It's heavily modifiable which is good for people who enjoy making mods but the engine itself is very dated and unreliable. The performance in the game is a testament to this. Banger setups only able to run at 45fps in high pop servers is a irrefutable mess due to the games janky lighting system and netcode for servers. Not to mention all the engine bugs that can cause perfectly working cards to randomly spin out because you ran over a pack of raisins. It's a decent enough experience if you stay on foot and play for the PvP or RP servers, but my god it's broken mess. Day Z desperately needs a new engine that can still be modified by the community in terms of mods utilizing the steam workshop and it needs to be remade entirely from scratch.

This is basically what DayZ looked like when it was first modded from Arma. It'll take another 10 years to have a half playable version (as made apparent by the current version we're playing) but at least we potentially have a "new" and "improved" version of DayZ somewhat in the works.

Been playing dayz from arma2 before sa was even a thing. Nowadays sa is complete shit with its arcade movement. Who the fuck likes the firefighting in sa with its arcadish jumping and sigsagging shit. And snipers, those are horrible. U can hit anything within ur visibility range just by standing and holding breath. Sa has been fucked since 0.6
Was on that server tonight. After changing the keybinds to dayz layout it wasn't bad. Got a jeep and explored the map. Got some guns and loots. Had a firefight and logged off. I'll come back in a few months when they have chernaus up and running. 😋
it's definitely missing the grim lighting/decayed buildings, but I believe these things can be added so I'm super excited to see where the community takes this.

It will be a very long time before a new DayZ mod even gets to current level that standalone is at. I hope DayZ can get officially ported to the new engine or maybe they will just make DayZ 2.

Hm I'm guessing it's net code. When you have more players on the same server, it bogs it down. Bohemia thus needs to up their net-code to stop the game from bogging down. My other guess is that there were fewer people on that DayZ server than is normal for a regular game.

Yeah I got really bored of it really fast, got it so I could play Arma on console but then I got a PC a few weeks later and got Arma 3 which is 100x better than Reforger IMO.. l like to think it's a crappy sandbox we get to play with as a reward for funding Arma 4.

You can’t port the engine. Dayz sa already has most of enfusion anyway ; the only way they could go full enfusion is to remake the maps , which is happening with reforger
@@redshift912 You are mistaken, it's doable. Also have you forgotten how were they swapping parts of DayZ engine already? Reforger engine has obviously better lightning, can utilize more of GPU and is overal better, but not yet completed. ARMA4 will run on this.
I can live with new visual upgrades. BUT I'd like the menu interface / world made just like the original map. To much of a change would ruin the original map since it's been the same from the beginning. This map I barely recognize, it might as well be a whole new game aside from dayz.
Because its a modded weapon, so apart from the weapon being modded it also needs its own animations to go with it. it looks like its taking to idle animation of a pistol.

I had my graphics on very low i have an rtx 2060 but when ur record and stream obs uses some of ur gpu so only way i could get both to run good was to lower my settings

If you turn graphics to low and turn your pov up on Xbox it gets rid of almost all lag. Not sure if you knew that or not. It really helps!

You can actually illuminate the pso scope on the dragunov making it a lot nicer to use
