I live here. I can promise you there are bigger bass than what they have caught here in this video. Love how I can watch them fish spots I have personally fished.
I guess it looks bad if you use a 17 foot aluminum boat to fish a tournament? I don't see the logic behind the ban? Everyone had the opportunity to do the same?
It’s not necessarily a ban on aluminum boats themselves, it’s more a ban on switching boats mid tournament season to give an advantage to a boater. Most all of these guys would rather stick with their big glass boats rather than an aluminum for an entire fishing season.
These guys have some powerful gear, I would never even consider lifting bass that big by the line, but then again I like to bass fish with a fly rod. I'd guess they use 30+ lb braid.
pickle Maybe wrong at its highest point during the year, but not in winter/early spring. I grew up on this lake. FLW has the highest avg I’ve ever seen claimed and it’s literally 15 feet, a fraction of other major reservoirs in Arkansas. Hell the lake maxes at like 60-65 feet, the average depth of Beaver Lake. Compared to Beaver, Greers, Norfork, Degray, Ouachita, it’s the shallowest by about 30 feet. In fact it’s a lake that you shouldn’t ever run wide open on outside the channel if you don’t know it well because you are at serious risk of smashing your hull to shit. www.arkansas.com/articles/lake-dardanelle-scene-bassmaster-bass-nation-championship Don’t be a dick.

What are the boat requirements for fishing a tournament in Arkansas?
