Hello, as far as I know they don't sell shoe covers. I bought hiking boots for this trip only to find they were barely necessary. As long as you stay on the street where the buses drive, it shouldn't be a problem. The road was free of snow and it was even dry. There is also a path through the snow, although this is optional. However, for a trip to Japan in general and this place in particular, I would recommend to bring a pair of walking- or low cut hiking shoes, that are comfortable to walk and waterproof, since you never know how the weather turns out and whenever I came to Japan for holiday I used to walk alot. hope that helps. 😉
Hello, I think it was 10 minutes. unfortunately there is no other way to cross the Mountain. When I feel uncomfortable in a situation like this, I think about the likelihood of something happening. The tunnel was built over 50 years ago and has survived several earthquakes. What is the chance that something will happen in the next 10 minutes? That usually makes me feel safe. I hope it helps 😊
Hello, yes!... there are several stops on the route. You can stay at each station as long as you like. You dont need to pay additional entrance fee or anything, just the ticket for transportation. When you get off the bus at Murodo, you can walk the snow road. There is a path that follows the road (where the buses go) and a path that goes through snow, from where you have a very good view over the mountains. It's like a circular walk where you eventually come back to Murodo station, and then continue towards Kurobe Dam.
@@trandaisonvn hello 👋 it took me 2 hours to get there and around 5 hours for the round trip. i wish i had more time though. if you are planning to go, I would recommend to book an early time slot in advance because the ropeway is closing around 4pm. (you can check the timetable on the official website) I didn't book in advance, arrived at tateyama station 9am, but earliest possible time slot was 11am - as a result i didn't have much time at the dam.
Hello, it was filmed on May 05th, 2022. You cannot access the road during winter and it is usually open from April 15th to November 30th. It will take until autumn for the snow to completely melt away.
Probably the best video of this route!
I'm glad you liked the video. Thank you 😊
