17 The Portico Sadie Massey Awards for young readers and writers Celebration 2021

Lynne Allan, Chair of the Portico Library introduces the 2021 celebration of the Portico Sadie Massey Awards for young readers and writers.
Short story judges Anna Mainwaring and Okechukwu Nzelu and book review judges, Ayesha Ansari-Choudhury and Mo Ray announce the winners and talk about the judging process. A selection of students read their winning entries and special guest, A M Dassu, author of Boy, Everywhere talks about writing, books and offers her congratulations to all young readers and writers.
The competitions will take place again in March 2022.
