Hey friends! Thanks so much for watching - I've included links to all the mentioned libraries in the description. Enjoy, and thanks again!
all great suggestions Chris, i would also buy musio, and for the second all incompassing library i would buy VSL
synchron prime edition, they have updated the synchron player with the flow player specially (at the moment) for prime
they have made a special keyswitch wich makes it playable without switching all the time, do check it out, gret stuff, cheers
But with just one CS series library you can get loyalty discount and get next one
with 30% price off
And for 1000$ you can actually get CSS+CSB+CSW
I was thinking the same. But with musio you’ll also get percussion and choirs along with the brass. Along with their strings and winds which I guess could be used for layering.
Good point - I forgot about that! Even better deal then :)
I prefer the realism of VSL. (an insane number of choices of articulations)
I'd like to make classical music and VSL is the best next to the real stuff (in my opinion)
After that I choose orchestral tools.
Another great choice! OT used to be my #1 as well.
hey chris! what are your thoughts on audio imperias "nucleus" & BBCSO? what your favourite?
And, what would you recommend to someone who only has around $400-600?
Thanks! Love your videos btw, thank you for teaching people for free on here! your videos have been very helpful for my compositions! :D
If someone is really just getting started, seriously, just get Musio. Get that under your belt. It's the best starter investment out there. And work with just that for a while. You'll then soon discover what other libraries you really want and need based on your writing and working style. Don't even spend $1K right away. Yes you'll want to add to it eventually. But start there and pause and wait to figure out what you really want.
Absolutely 💯
Musio gives a lot for the bucks. For orchestral music, I think it's a great choice no matter the budget.
Absolutely.
Despite the tedious workflow with the negative track delay and midi adjustments, CSS is a great library to own. The mix mic is pretty much all you need to use on it to make it sound great.
Very good recommendations. I never really considered Musio, but at that sale price, wow!
Yup! 😎
For me the sentence already ends with 1000$ 😂
😅
I was so about to mention Musio, it’s quite a deal.
Yessir!
Immediately upon seeing the "only 1000" - my first instinctual response is Cinematic Studio! If someone can afford to peak above the $1,000 threshold, then go for the brass, as well. Having played brass, it's one of the better libraries for brass out there. The only cinematic studio instrument I'm not crazy about is the piano. I think there are better choices out there. Other than that, CS all the way. I'm looking forward to their percussion library.
Agreed - the piano was never my favourite, but the rest is class.
I recommend always heading towards sales or EDU discounts if you are low on budget. That way you can save a ton and get much more for less.
True!
What do you think about Audio Imperia Talos brass?Do you like the sound quality?
I don’t use it personally, mainly because all my brass needs are already covered. But it’s got a great sound!
Awesome!
CSS. This library jumped right over basically all of my others… and i have them all lol. I think the only one they don’t make is a perc lib.
I got a steel with Cinebrass core at 80% off a couple months ago. Definitely worth it
With "only" 1000 LOL
😁
how about if i only have... * checks wallet * 10 dollars!
Save up 🥹
a friend of mine from north africa said there are plenty of youngsters that want to start a carrier as a midi sample composer but the average budgets are around 400 dollars not 1000....so????
MUSIO is under $400 😉
Here in Brazil you're lucky if you have a $100 budget when you're starting.
Well... Would be great to hear from you about how to deal with delays in Cinematic Studio Series. Sound is awesome, but I don't know how I could work with it, when there is no tight option like in Audio Imperia libs or lookahead. I got CSS lately and delay throws me off while composing. Any tips, tricks?
Great idea for a video!
I generally just select all and nudge left my dude. Sounds amateur, but it sounds good. That’s if I’m working with Legato
@@jeremy_woods Thanks, I get it, but how do you record legato lines in real time when you keep missing the metronome click? Trying to be slightly behind the click doesn't work for me. Using other vst to record and changing for CSS requires too much nudging with notes afterwards. I wonder if there is some time saving solution for Cubase
