And rocks to climb between” hit me like a bus. I immediately thought of some place so beautiful I was able to live for a while - western Massachusetts. What I loved to e most was how the first track does such a great job of introducing this album, so intimate and familiar an invitation while also managing to let you know what you’re in for.
Surprised the lyrics on Evol weren’t brought up. Some of her best, and there’s some crazy wordplay, with her pronouncing words backwards in a way that sounds like she’s saying new words. If there was any debate that she’s a lyrical genius, that song ended it
THIS. I’ve been trying to put into words what exactly Adrianne’s music reminds me of and it’s exactly Joni. So happy to realize 2 of my favourite artists have artistic and musical similarities.🥺
Hey Anthony, thanks for making this review through you I discovered her and this album at the right time. It was the calmness and meaning in the meaningless I needed.

Even though i'm the kind of person that has never really cared for lyrically driven music. Adrianne is one of the few people that has made me see the light when it comes to what good lyricism can do to a song.
She's deservedly in the pantheon of great indie songwriters with Sufjan, Fiona, and Elliott. What an emotional bloodgening this one was. Will be high on lots of lists this year.

This fucking album is so insanely goated beyond belief. The first song broke me into a million pieces and it's filling the void my girl Stella Donnelly typically does for me. Shocked he didn't give this a 9 or higher.
The albums called Bright Future He gave it an 8/10 Future just released an album with Metro Boomin called We Don’t Trust You Therefore, We Don’t Trust You is an 8/10
Honestly more like a light 7/10 for me after just one listen, maybe it'll grow on me. All my favorite songs were the singles and the deeper cuts weren't grabbing me too much like her other work has. And I'm not really crazy about the opener. Not too sure how often I'll come back to this album. But who knows maybe it'll hit more for me down the road
