I find it sad because i know she's hurting but she needs to realise i know most wpuld say her daughter needs her, of course she does but Twilight needs her too because she lost her parents, brother and all her friends. Also Twilight is most likely to be afraid to love somepony if she wasn't already fearful before all the mortal ponies she cared for died. Where Cadence had the privilege to love Twilight might never have it because of the fear to the point Twilight might block it out of her heart or try to.

This whole series is about losing the ones you love the most and it suddenly change your behavior and moods to a different pony than before, either depression, angry at someone so they don't want to face the facts, miserable, and doubting yourself about happen in the past.

Watching again makes me wonder why Celestia didn't make Shining Armour an alicorn? I mean he is a prince and it does seem as if Cadence's grief could have been stopped.
Also I'm curious to know how he died in Remembrance's time line because that armour Cadence was wearing makes me think he died in battle or something.

moon light pony Thank you. I wouldn't want to be in Cadence or Twilight's positions. Watching my loved ones wither away and die would be more than I could stand. Although in a strange horrid irony, Twilight would also have to bear witness to any foals her friends had also dying of old age and I'm not saying that to be horrible, it's just something that occurred to me.

came back to watch the series after many many years- i only saw a few episodes that had been out when i was a little kid but didn’t keep up with the series and WOW i’m so glad i came back. i was desperate for content where cadance was. explored as a more complex (and i admit edgy) character and all i could think about was having seen this as a kid and i was so overjoyed to find and watch it all. this song in particular really stuck with me to the point i had to stop what i was doing just to come and listen to it. i’m glad i had the chance to enjoy the series and i’m especially happy to have this version of cadance stored in my brain for whenever i’m feeling especially mean and lamenting over how she deserved more as a character.
The vocals for this song were lovely and really demonstrated all of the anguish, conflict, regret and denial of her character its so beautiful and i can see myself revisiting this video often 🫶
