I bought this lp knowing that there was only three superb songs may I ,shouting..and stranger... the other songs were weak, though it was cool sayimg they were good . Somebody has to say it, it might as well be me, I guy from down south Barcelona, the 3 songs make it wortwhile the money. Kevin was really good. Rest in peace in Mallorca , he can see the sea from there, and the werather is fine. His music will live on , thank you Kevin.
I bought 'Slow Dazzle',by Cale in '78..(I saw him at Corn Exchange in Cambridge in '76)..(I think)..This track is on the albumn..Awsome!..I never knew 'till recently Cale..(One of my faves,)played with the great Ayers..So how happy am I now?!!
"The night before the [1 June 1974] concert Kevin and Cindy got together. That did it for me. She lied about it, but in the end I was able to go to Kevin and say, 'Look, as a gentleman, tell me, did such and such happen?' Kevin said, 'Yes.'" ---John Cale, WHAT'S WELSH FOR ZEN: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF JOHN CALE, page 152
Typed in the man's name as it was mentioned on t.v. to find he'd just died last week; gutted!: saw him on stage at Finsbury Park Rainbow '73 with John Cale, Eno, Nico with Mike Oldfield, and even a freshly crippled Robert Wyatt. Bought the colaboration l.p. which i really loved. Good times; God bless his soul
I love the fact that this sounds like a grunge song.

One of the greatest. My favourite cover version in history of cover versions after All along the watchtower by Hendrix and My Way by Sid Vicious
Павел Черепанов sonic boom version of suicide's che is really good
10 years before Nick Cave's first album-do you think he listened to this in his formative years?
Somebody once wrote that John Cale was the blueprint for Nick Cave - how true!
