    Peyton this is so helpful!!! I’ve been binge watching all of your videos over the last few weeks & loved this one. I’m hoping to find an MA job soon to get PCE hours for my future PA application. It’s been so fun watching your journey!

    The 5 minute journal is my favorite thing ever. ❤ So easy but a great way to start the day.

    Just subscribed! I love your content! I’m currently a CNA. I’m taking a break because it is just too much. Really considering MA until I finish my basics to get into nursing school! MA seems more chilled and not as draining. Thank you for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️

    Hi Peyton, I am currently looking into changing careers. I came across your video about being a medical assistant and it has got me really intrigued.
    Before I go forward with pursuing this career I was wondering if you could tell me what the pay is like and what I would be expecting my schedule to look like?
    Thank you in advance.

      Hi love, if your still intrestd, there is soo much more to being an MA than most people think. There is an amazing, info pack ebook that im halfway through that is more useful than anything Ive found online. I'll post the link to the book if you'd like, let me know, and good luck!

    Hi I am also a MA but for a pediatric clinic. Truly enjoy this job but how did you manage school while working? I'm currently an undergrad, getting my bachelors degree in biology.

    Do you need specific certificates to specialize in a certain area or can you work anywhere? I was a CNA and loved/hated it. It’s too physically demanding for the low pay. But I love and care for people so much! That was the only pro for me lol

    • @PeytonFowler
      @PeytonFowler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha yes working as a CNA was tough. i didn’t need any certification for my OBGYN medical assistant job- i think it just depends on each practice and what they require!

    • @jenniferb8145
      @jenniferb8145 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It also depends of your state, some require you to be certified and some don't. Also all offices are different some require a CMA not a CCMA or RMA and some are ok with no certification as long as you have experience. You will probably get more money if you are a CMA who went through a accredited program certification will also open up a lot of doors for you and help you get a job.

      Can I ask if you were trained for the position or if you had schooling ? I'm currently enrolled in ccma but may want to take courses in sterile process tech also but can't seem to find a school near me that offers the program. Also, is the pay decent?

    • @DriaLii
      @DriaLii ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Different offices have different criteria. For instance, I work as a MA for a major hospital in my city and being certified is not required. The hospital does put new onboarding MA’s through a 10 week in hospital training.

    OMG! I totally love and am obsessed with your videos, I will be going into a CCMA program at my community college this coming fall! Getting insight from what you do is helpful, got any advice for future MAs? Also, for an OBGYN Medical Assistant can work be difficult at times?

    I’m in a MA program , there’s no hands on though it’s all online due to Covid still. Will I be able to get a job with that even though I didn’t get to do any hands on

    • @PeytonFowler

    • @PeytonFowler
      @PeytonFowler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that’s a good question! i think it totally depends on the practice. i know my office was looking for at least 1 year of commitment, but that’s not always the case. i think it’s still worth trying though! and maybe being open to work over the holiday breaks would help☺️
